Yes, Karlmine using the back of his free hand slapped his head off his neck spraying nearby elves with blood in the process who stood there shocked half to death.
Taking advantage of that moment he landed a kick on one of them launching him at his brethren. For someone who was bleeding he seemed more fierce than before. Seeing this the head warrior finally turned his sword to him but to his shock, his own child blocked his way it seemedd he had misunderstood the resolve Heilis had.
"Out of the way Heilis."
"My master has some unfinished business so if you want to go to him pass through me father."
The old man opened his eyes wide, what he was looking at was not his arrogant and prodigious son but a warrior and a man who had an unyielding and determined spirit.
(To think that a mortal would turn you to this. I am grateful Karlmine.)
He silently said that and stood ready to face his son but then they were all shocked again, this time even he was shocked to no end.
"Karlmine NOOOOO!"
Beldandy screamed and threw her daggers away as she ran towards Karlmine.
"Master!"
Heilis dropped his sword too and rushed to his master's side.
Karlmine lay on the ground with multiple holes on his body and all of them in vital areas. What could have inflicted such damage on Karlmine?
The answer lay before their eyes. Before them stood a creature exuding insane amount of malice and mystic force, a beautiful elf with a dark skin. Protruding from her back where four black spider legs. This dangerous existence was the princess Arkheenah. Her hair had turned white and her beautiful face was twisted into an almost insane sneer.
"Samora, why? What have you done?"
Beldandy asked with shock, no doubt her friend before her had turned into a dark elf meaning he had forsaken the blessing of nature. A taboo that was punishable by death and then there was the issue of the spider legs.
"D-Did you make a contract with Arachne?"
She asked with a weak voice.
Arachne was a monstress that was sealed long ago by the elven royal family, one could say it was also their ultimate weapon released only in times of war and the one to use it would be banished and erased from the royal family because the contract needed one to fall and be a dark elf.
Samora had broken many laws but what Beldandy did not understand was why?
"That is a foolish question Beldandy, it was all so that I could destroy him without fail. He killed my brothers."
The expression she had showed that the power was corroding his sanity slowly taking over, if she continued like this no doubt it would kill her or worse turn her into a Shade.
"Samora, it was war."
Beldandy responded while trying to apply healing magic on his wounds.
"That will not work, the venom of the queen of spiders has no cure."
She giggled insanely.
"Now Beldandy, Heilis, get out of my way."
She creaked her neck and her spider legs gave of a cluttering noise too.
"Never."
Beldandy firmly refused.
"Then die."
Just like that without a second thought Samora charged at them ready to kill all of them but.
CRACKLE; CRACKLE KABOOM!
An insane bolt of lightning hit directly in front of them scattering the elves except for the princess and the head warrior who were pushed back a little.
"I finally found you master."
A voice filled with affection followed the blinding flash and there stood a young lady of about twenty years, this was the entrance of the second mortal in the elven camp.
"Who did this to you?"
Her voice turned steely cold when she saw the Karlmine who was barely holding on to consciousness on the ground while covered in blood.
"So another mortal huh?"
Maybe her mind was almost gone because Samora should have sensed the insane amount of mystic force exuded by the young lady.
"Attack her."
A few elves who were still standing probably fearing their princess who was now a monster charged at the young lady.
"Be gone."
She shouted but that short phrase was a word of power. The sky crackled with energy again and blasted the oncoming elves with lightning kill them all.
The young lady turned to Samora with an evil gaze then raised her hand, with another flash she, Beldandy, Heilis and Karlmine vanished leaving countless collapsed elves and a few dead ones.
"Its over."
With that last thought Samora also collapsed. What was over? The amnesiac's life? The princess' life? Both of their lives? No one knew maybe the princess did not even know what she meant when she thought that.
