The Alpha of Crystal Woods pack began sending out messages to his allies and partners in the fight against Makasti. By the next day, the pack house was filled with people of different calibers. The Alpha mounted the podium and started addressing the audience,
"I am very glad and thankful that you all obliged my request and converged here though out of the blue. Hence I would love to specially thank Alpha Victor of the Wind Blast pack, Alpha Enzo of the Roaring Flames pack, Alpha Max of the Chiming Bells pack, Alpha Jason of the Golden Land pack, Lady Pretengo of the West Sea Coven, Lord Dale of the East Savanna Witches, Lady Krea of the Forgetting Dust Coven and the rest of you gathered here. Thank you for making it on such short notice....
The situation at hand is quite dire. You all must have heard of the prophecy eighteen years ago. My daughter Layna was prophesied to be the supreme alpha that will unite the four races, bringing peace to the earth. However she is also destined to be the mate of the vampire prince. The vampires do not accept this fact. Makasti is already making plans to overthrow the balance and take over the human world. Layna on the other hand has not gotten her true powers. It now lies in our hands, the duty to protect the human realm from invasion of the vampires. For the peace of the earth! " Alpha Damian said.
" For the peace of the earth, for serenity amongst all, for the unity of all races, we accept the task to protect all of nature.
For as the celestial supreme has created, we all have a purpose
Be it humans, werewolves, vampires or witches,
We are one!!!!" The rest chorused.

Layna who had been feeling restless since she woke up called Liam. Liam sat down opposite her and looked at her in confusion.
"Are you okay? " He asked.
Layna looked at him before speaking, "we're mates right?"
"Yes" he replied
"Why haven't you marked me yet?"
Liam's eyes widened. His face turned abnormally red as he stood up suddenly looking flustered.
"What's wrong with you?" She inquired
"That..... The mating ritual between a vampire and werewolf is.... Um ...."
"Why are you stuttering?" Layna cocked her brows.
"That .... It requires..... It requires us to have.." he gulped "sex"
Layna was stunned for a moment before throwing herself on Liam,
"Say..... Are you shy?" She asked
Liam who had a clear view of her milky white breasts from above gulped and walked outside. Layna chuckled as she followed behind him. She pushed him against the banister of the balcony. The sudden closeness made Liam's senses heighten. He could hear the sound of her blood coursing through her blood vessels. He could even see the minute hair on her face. Looking at her cherry like lips, he swallowed. Before Liam could think of doing anything, Layna's hands were inside his underwear.
"When had she unzipped his pants?" He cursed.
Her fingers traced a cool path to his already enlarged member, she quickly groped it through his boxers. Liam cursed and switched their positions with Layna's back against the banister.
"Layna you're playing with fire" he said through gritted teeth, his eyes gleaming dangerously.
"Then burn me..." She replied
Liam chuckled lowly and whisked her off to bed.
The curtains fluttered and the night moon glowed witnessing the union of a vampire and a werewolf. Their bodies danced like ribbons of a courtesan. In the height of their pleasure, Liam's fangs elongated as his irises turned red. His fangs grazed the skin of her shoulder as he marked her in one quick bite. Their was a slight burning sensation on Layna's shoulder as a mark like a tattoo appeared on her left shoulder. It was in the form of a howling wolf encircled by vampire fangs.
However Liam and Layna both didn't notice the slight flash of a red dragon on the mate mark.
