As they battered against the donuts, their stolen delights, a voice rang out from a nearby table, belonging to a man dressed in a long, weathered leather coat. His presence evoked an air of enchantment, as if he had stepped out of the pages of a storybook. The man's announcement sent ripples of excitement through Charlie's veins—he held a ticket to the highly coveted Richard King's singing contest.

Charlie's eyes widened, his heart skipping a beat. Richard King was his mentor, the most adored musician in their region, he was Music royalty. He even had his own city at the center of the city.

Without a moment's hesitation, Charlie mustered the courage to approach the mysterious man, his voice filled with urgency. "Sir, please, I beg of you. That ticket... I need it. I would do anything to possess it," Charlie pleaded, his eyes filled with longing.

A mischievous smile curved on the man's lips as he assessed Charlie. "Anything, you say? Well, young lad, I shall grant your request on one condition," he replied, his voice carrying a hint of playful challenge. "We shall engage in a singing duel. If you can outshine me with your voice, the ticket shall be yours."

Charlie's confidence wavered, his palms growing clammy with doubt. He turned to Chloe, his trusted friend, who stood by his side with unwavering support. With a reassuring smile, she whispered, "You can do it, Charlie. Believe in yourself. Your voice is magic."

As the man concluded his own performance, the room fell into a hushed silence. All eyes turned expectantly toward Charlie, waiting for his response to the unspoken challenge. The man snapped his fingers, a subtle reminder of their agreement. Charlie glanced back at Chloe, who met his gaze with an encouraging thumbs up, fueling his determination.

Summoning every ounce of bravery within him, Charlie took center stage. The spotlight cast a warm glow upon his face as he drew a deep breath, ready to unleash his voice upon the captive audience.

His first note resonated through the room, instantly capturing the hearts of those present. Chloe's eyes shimmered with pride, her belief in him radiating like a beacon of light. Mrs Brit, ever the motherly figure, watched with a beaming smile, her cheeks flushed with joy.

Charlie's mesmerizing melody weaved through the air, wrapping around the listeners like a soft embrace. The room was enraptured, its occupants spellbound by the soul soothing quality of his voice. Each word, each note, carried the weight of his emotions and dreams.

As Charlie reached the final crescendo of his performance, a wave of applause erupted, mingled with gasps of awe and admiration. Questions and praises swirled around him, but amidst the commotion, his eyes sought out the man—the mysterious gatekeeper of his destiny.

Their gazes met, a silent understanding passing between them. Charlie wore a determined expression, his eyes conveying a silent message: I have triumphed, now fulfill your part of the bargain. With a nod of approval, the man reached into his pocket and retrieved the prized ticket, placing it gently into Charlie's outstretched hand.

Gratitude welled up within Charlie, his lips parting to express his thanks, but before he could utter a word, the man raised a hand to silence him. "You earned it, my young friend. Remember, destiny favors those who dare to follow their dreams," he said with a knowing smile.

Intrigued, Charlie couldn't help but ask, "And your name, sir? Who should I thank for this extraordinary opportunity?"

The man chuckled softly, his eyes gleaming with mystery. "Call me Mr. Frank Wisely. You'll see me around, Charlie. Our paths are destined.

As Charlie watched the man walk away, disappearing into the shadows, he couldn't help but wonder about the strange figure before him. Who was Mr. Frank Wisely? What secrets did he carry?
