As the rain unnaturally begins to fall even harder, shadow-like substances shaped like holes appear in the sky. My eyes widen, and I lose so much focus on my surroundings, I somehow don't notice the dark green vines from the local memorial garden wrapping themselves around my arms and legs. I try my hardest to resist, but there's only so much you can do when you're physically disabled. Not too late after, the woman unsheathes a small Japanese blade from her waist. She then jumps into the air, soaring like a bird.
This all feels so abnormal because it is, but somehow it feels so natural to me like I've experienced it before. The woman still soars in the air, but not for long. She starts to fall, like a baby bird learning how to fly, and even though I just witnessed her perform something so unmundane, I doubt she would be able to hold her ground in the air. However, I'm soon proven wrong. After the wind no longer carried her through the sky, she started to somehow walk on it.
Just what is this feeling? This feeling to not react to these peculiar things this woman is doing? Even though I'm keeping a conversation in my head, I keep my main focus on the woman. But I fear she isn't fast enough to stop whatever's advancing. The feeling: I can't explain, but it's like a strong sensation is making its way into the sky.
The woman sheathes her blade as if she's completed her task, but what she doesn't know is that one of those shadows remains. One of the eeriest things of my life is being shown to me in what I didn't know was the eeriest world in this universe. A black, veiny hand began to push itself out of the shadow. It seemed like the woman couldn't see it, and I wanted to warn her. But I couldn't.
It was like the sensation when I first met the woman came back to me; I froze. Nearly like a force in my inner body wanted the woman to die. Nonetheless, I couldn't let this woman get killed. Not when I still have so many questions awaiting to be answered. I pull my arms out of the vines, slightly stabbing them with the thorns, but I ignore the pain.
I tightly grasp a hold of my crutches, and I use them to thrust off the vines from my legs. I'm not sure what I can do to help this woman, but I'll do all in my ability. I observe my surroundings and realize that no one is on this street with us. Everybody is gone, the only people that remain in this domain are me, the woman, and that creature. I drop my crutches, and even though I fall, I feel a rush of adrenaline, almost like something's pushing me to go forward.
I leap into the sky, I'm not sure how, but at the time I refrain from questioning the situation. The creature emerges from the shadow and crushes it with both its hands. There it is. It revealed itself. An all-black creature with three heads and three masks, which all seem to be made from the creature's skin.
It's tall, close to 7 feet, which is what I can analyze at the moment. I keep my gaze straightforward, and I notice dandelions that look like came from the memorial garden start to swarm me. Afterward, everything becomes a blur. "Affirmative. I captured the boy on June 14th, 2017. He is indeed stronger than you said he was." I hear the woman say in a quiet voice.
I'm desperate for answers, so I ask. "What happened after I blacked out?" The woman doesn't look at me, but she smiles. She declares proudly, "You have no idea who you really are, do y'a? Well, I won't be the one to tell you! But you're strong...after all, you saved me."
