Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: ORIGIN

" watch out! behind you"

hearing this, Chang Lee jumped forward in fear, he had come very far and was almost arriving at his destination: he could not lose at this point. This was the only way Chang Lee would reunite with his family, the people he valued most in his life...…but he was not sure whether they had survived or not.

All he had now was the friend ahead of him, Yuan Tao. This was the fourteenth day since their tribe was attacked by savage beasts. Chang lee's clan had spent over one hundred years of peace and prosperity, he had hoped that it would continue being so in his timeline until the sudden attack occurred. On that dreadful day, Chang Lee had taken his breakfast as usual and was just about to head to the Martial division where he used to clean the training hall where martial arts training used to take place. He had just bid farewell to his mother when he heard screams .

Rushing outside, flames were pouring heavily from the sky, Red-core dragons were turning anything in their way into ashes. Before he could completely process the happening, he heard a loud bellow from the skies "it's time, time to clear this filthy weak population from the universe" Chang Lee's vision then darkened and he lost his consciousness. Upon waking up, his eyes were met by billowing smoke as far as he could see.

His friend Yuan Tao was signaling him to follow him closely as they headed to an underground training yard in which the martial art experts used to go for their final training before being qualified to join the Elite Group. This cave contained venomous Green snakes whose poison would kill within five hours. Chang Lee and his friend had been treading carefully within the caves to avoid the Green Snakes as they searched for the exit to the tunnel. After jumping forward in fright, Chang Lee had successfully evaded a bite from one of the snakes and he owed his friend for notifying him.

Outside the caves in which Chang Lee and his friend were hiding, the ones beautiful world with all types of crops and creatures had been turned to a desolate land with nothing to offer. It was hard to tell whether there were survivors after the scene which had occurred. By now the Red-core dragons and their lead had departed from this region .Life would no longer be the same from that day henceforth.

At last, Chang Lee and his friend managed to find an exit, their bodies were covered by sweat. Due to the huge smoke deposits all round the land, the two occasionally coughed and relatively had some difficulty in breathing. As soon as Chang Lee departed from the caves, he lead his friend as they ran towards where they had been living with their mother. When they thought of how their lives had progressed well , they could not prevent tears from rolling down their eyes. This used to be a very peaceful location where everything, be it plants, animals and people were living in harmony.

The duo only had themselves to blame for being weak. Chang Lee and his friend continued treading carefully in the currently desolate land coming across charred corpses everywhere , the plants were blood-tainted. The place was in utter chaos .After walking for some time, at last they managed to see the ruins of Chang Lee's former house.

"come on, let's take a look"

Chang called his friend who instantly followed him. They proceeded ahead and managed to arrive at the ruins. They could already notice that there were no traces of people but Chang Lee still decided to give it a try.

"mother --- mother, where are you"

He called out but there was no answer . After calling out severally, Chang Lee finally gave up.

Suddenly, Yuan Tao saw a shiny box within the ground which was halfway buried and called;

"Lee, what's over there "
