Chapter 51 - Chapter 51

"Kevin has a crush Kevin has a crush..!" the gang sang along much to the detest of Kevin.

"If you don't want your bodies six feet under I suggest you shut up" Kevin sneered which fortunately kept the guys quiet expect for Cardan.

All the others couldn't help but think he'd grown a few guts since he'd left.

They had all arrived at the Chang's private island beach when they all caught Kevin staring at a pretty girl and since then they hadn't let him forget it even when he clearly didn't remember who she was.

"I stare at a person and suddenly everyone believe's I'm in love with her" Kevin sneered in annoyance as he opened his martial arts guide book his one and only true love.

"Hey Cardan which of us are better friends back in the town you're staying at or us?" Erik asked suddenly after they had all stopped teasing Kevin. This had now gotten the entire group's attention.

Cardan looked at him in shock before laughing "Where did that come from?" he questioned and as he looked around at all of his friends he realised that they all wanted to know.

"Well" Kevin rasied his eyebrow at him as he folded his arms.

"You can't be serious I mean what kind of question is that" Cardan replied instead.

This seemed to drop the mood of the others

"If it isn't us just say it" Ashton said softly. 'So that we can figure out a way to be better than them' he internally added

Cardan sighed as he rubbed his hand on his face "You all are equal to me in terms of friendship guys we're all basically brothers"

Kevin's eyes lit up a bit which wasn't noticable to the eye along with Erik "So since we are your brothers we're better than them then" Erik stated and all the others seemed to agree with him.

"That isn't what I meant..." by the time Cardan said that the rest had already moved on with their activities.

Cardan sighed in frustration before taking off his shirt and going for a swim. 'Let them think what they want.'

Kevin looked at Cardan's chest before rubbing his eyes 'He looks like he's gained a bit of muscle and is that a six pack...mines better' Kevin internally thought before returning back to his novel.

The sun was bright and out. The whether was cool and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves with their own activities. It was peaceful.

"Ahhhh" all eyes turned to Derick in horror as their hearts beat fast.

The boy had moved his sun glasses to his hair and his white watermelon shorts stuck to his skin as he looked at something on his phone.

Aaran tsked as he returned back to his slumber.

Cardan and Benedict approached him to see what was going on.

[Design legend Jun Morris is retiring...]

Cardan immediately slapped Derick as soon as he read those words. Wasted his time for no reason.

Derick looked at him in horror as Benedict moved to strangle him. Derick managed to dodge him which led to Benedict pouting.

"Ricky I just want to wrap my hands around your neck why are you avoiding me?" Benedict asked sadly.

"F***k no you sociopath!" Drick exclaimed as he tried to run away key word tried before he tripped on the sand.

Derick immediately saw death flashing before his eyes and he found that he couldn't do anything else but open his arms up for the angel of death to collect him.

He didn't die much to his dismay.

That's how his week was spent with mostly his family and friends.

"So did you find me a husband?" Daphne asked Cardan as she set across him in the family room. Cardan felt the back of his skull burning as soon as Daphne said that but he chose to ignore it.

Cardan smiled at his little sister and answered "I did" was his answer before a shoe went flying in his direction and with a tilt to his head he managed to dodge it pulling Daphne with him.

Daphne's eyes sparkled at his words completely ignoring the fact that she was almost hit with a shoe "Really, what does he look like, how tall is he, when is his birthday, when will I meet-"

"Hey that's too many questions at once. And no I'll introduce you to him when you're twenty. I don't know how but I will" Cardan murmured the last bit. He'd have to create an opportunity for them both. Maybe during an event, or when they pass each other or even a bump and great.

After all he was a man of his word.

"Sweetie let me talk to your brother for a few seconds okay" Cardan's attention was brought back to the present and before he could comprehend what was going on he was grabbed by the neck and dragged into his father's office where he would receive his fatherly love.

"It seems that spending too much time away from home has led to you corrupting your sister with such sinful ideas. But don't worry belty will whip you back in shape" James smiled coldly at Cardan.

"Doesn't that mean you did the same thing to mother" Cardan countered.

James was left speechless. Seeing this Cardan tried to run away but James had already regained his composure.

"If it's death you want then it's death you shall get"

Unfortunately his mother wasn't here to save him.

Cardan was prepared to hold a grudge against his father but that soon changed when his father gave him his black card to spend for the week. Who cares about old wounds when you have money.

There where family dinners and a family gala that followed the following days. His family and friends tried to spend as much time with him as they possibly could before he had to continue his test.

And before they knew it the day came when they would say bye to Cardan at least for now. Founatly this time there weren't as many tears.

"So he started a restort" James said to his assistant as he read through the files.

"Yes sir. Do you want to send some investment there or publictise it?" the assistant asked.

James chuckled before shaking his head "No it's against the rules to have any part in the business of those going through the poverty test. Just continue watching as you always do"

The assistant bowed "Understood sir"
