She looks at him and then over at the balloon. "Alright, but make sure you hold me and don't let go." She shakes her head as they head towards the balloon. "I must be out of my mind going in one of those. It's a good thing I love you or else I wouldn't be going in it."
He helped her in and nodding to the guy who would be driving the machine, introduced him to Ria. When the balloon started to rise she turned to Ryan, her arms tighten around his waist and she buried her face in his chest.
He stroked her back, giving words of comfort. "It's alright sweetheart, turn around and open your eyes or you'll miss the spectacular view from up here."
She looks up at him. "Keep your arms around me and don't let go."
Opening her eyes she turned around, keeping her hands on his arms that were firmly placed around her waist. She looks over the edge and shutters. Her heart was pounding so hard inside her chest, she held her breath when she saw how small everything was becoming.
"Now you have to admit the view is beautiful from here."
"It is beautiful," she said as she began to relax. With his arms still around her, she began to enjoy the ride. She leaned back against his chest. "Thank you for bringing me here, I'm starting to enjoy it and it's not as scary as I thought at first."
He leaned into her ear and whispered. "If we were alone I would make love to you right here."
"Well, we aren't alone so try and behave," she said, kissing his cheek. "As lovely as this has been I'd like to go back down now."
He looked at his watch before answering. "Soon." He looked up at the sky and his watch again, which she noticed him doing.
"Why do you keep looking at your watch?"
He wasn't sure how much longer he could keep her up here, it had already been over an hour. He looked up at the sky once more and heard the plane overhead. To keep her from looking up he cupped her face in his hands and gave her a kiss, one that was hot and demanding, not caring there was another person with them. Breaking the kiss he glanced up at the sky. "Look up," he said as he turned her around.
The words Marry Me were written in the sky, her hand flew to her mouth and a tear trickled down her face. "Oh Ryan, this is so romantic." She turns to look at him and sees the ring in his hand.
"Ria, the moment I saw you I knew I had to have you, in more ways than one. My life had been filled with loneliness, a parade of women who could never fill the void in my heart. But you changed everything, you changed me and I love you and I want to spend my life making you happy and loved. Will you marry me?"
She couldn't speak, she knew about the ring but when he never gave it to her before now she figured he had changed his mind about marrying her. All she could do was nod her head, holding out her hand for him to put the ring on her. "I love you." She managed to say, looking at him.
