"Guys Anton is here!" Nick announces walking in with his friend. He had gone to get Anton who had gotten abit lost on his way here. The cab driver dropped him two blocks away from the apartment.
Naomi smiles sweetly. "Welcome Anton!" She waves at the 6ft guy with beautifully tanned skin and teeth so white they could blinde you. He had a nicely trimmed beard and dressed nicely.
"You must be Naomi." He smiles at her extending his hand to shake hers.
"I am. Pleasure to meet you." She flirtatiously said.
"The pleasure is all mine." He kisses the back of her hand like a true gentleman.
Nick walks over to me looking pleased with himself. "I think I did a good job match making."
"I think so too."
He places his arm around my waist giving me a kiss on the cheek. "Do you have any other amazing friends so I can set my best friend up too?"
"I don't unfortunately. Maybe Terra?" I joked but he looks like he's thinking about it.
"That night work. Opposites do attrack afterall. She's a bit unstable and Hoshi is annoyingly logical and has this do good personality."
"I don't think I want poor hoshi to be subjected to my sisters madness so its a no from me."
"Okay fine...Hoshi will have to stay single forever then." He teases pretending to be sad.
Moving away from Nick and his craziness I head to introduce myself to Anton since everyone else did while I was talking to Nick.
"Hey. I am-"
"That's your friend's wife. Isn't she gorgeous?" Naomi cuts in.
Anton and I shake hands. "She is. It's a pleasure to finally meet the woman that was able to trap our crazy party animal."
I turn to Nick. "Party Animal? Him?"
"Yep. Him, Austin and I got drunk every night in college because Nick just had to attend every freaking party happening around town."
"Nick is cool and all but a party animal...that's shocking to me." Naomi laughs.
"I really want to hear more about your college days but I think someone else wants your attention for tonight." I say teasing my friend who immediately blushed.
"Well then we should see each other again soon." Anton suggested.
"Definatley." I turn to her. "Naomi...I'm leaving now."
For the first time she doesn't have anything to say. I smirk feeling happy she was being so shy around him.
I walk back to my husband who was busy talking to my brother. The two were talking about basketball of all things.
"Shawn I'm back, you can leave my husband now." I was obviously messing with my brother who immediately plays along with me.
He shot me a playful glare and pretends to be offended. "Well then...I will go!"
"I prefer your company don't go!" Nick dramatically said.
I punch him not to hard on his shoulder. "What did you say?!"
"Nothing!" He holds his shoulder as though it hurt...or maybe it did really hurt.
"Nick...I had no idea you were a party animal back in the day."
"Anton really likes running his mouth."
"Well...I am still shocked that my Kento used to be so wild." I tease placing my arms around his shoulders looking up at him.
Nick kisses me. "Well I was really into partying and stuff because I knew once I was done studying I'd have to take over the family business."
"If I at least had fun and made happy memories going back to my grandfather who always scrutinized everything I did wouldn't be so bad." There's a hint of resentment in his voice.
I hug my husband sensing his sadness. "When we go back I want to go help at the company. I have a degree in business administration after all."
"I think that's a great idea especially because you and I are actually moving to the tokyo to deal with the Tokyo branch."
"What really?"
"Grandpa decided all on his own of course, but I think it would be good for us to live alone forawhile." He strokes my cheel gently. "I just want us to be happy together."
I smile resting my head on his shoulder. "I want us to be happy too."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The last few days in New York was great, I got to spend some more time alone with my husband and friends before heading back to Japan. Nick and I had to go to Kyoto before moving to Japan because he needed time to prepare some things before we moved.
To my surprise I was really happy to be back in Kyoto. Miss Sakura was also over joyed to see me. She gave me a big hug.
"I was scared you wouldn't return at all." She said giving me yet another hug.
"Miss Sakura how could I not come back home?" I ask making Meisa and the elders smile.
"So you finally consider us family?" Mr Sakurada asked in a teasing manner.
"Of course!" I turn to Kazuha. "I even missed you too."
"I'm so touched." She responded sarcastically.
"Well, Nick and I bought everyone presents too." I said excited to show everyone what we got them. Nick told me what everyone liked and I tried my best to get them a fitting gift.
Uncle Haru, Mitsuki's husband looks delighted to get a gift because his face lights up.
"She picked everything on her own. I was just the carrier." Nick jokes making the others laugh.
"Jaehyun is in korea right now, I'll take his gift." Kazuha says to me so I hand it over to her. I feel guilt as we lock eyes. She has no idea Jaehyun was planing on leaving her because of me.
"I don't want your gift. Give it to one of the servants!" Mitsuki coldly said walking away.
I frown feeling sad that she still dislikes me so much. Nick notices this and says, "Aunt Mitsuki." He takes the gift from my hands walking up to his aunt.
"Didn't you teach Kazuha, Nicole and I that when someone does something out of the goodness of their hearts you must thank them?"
"The boys is correct. Thank Samamtha for being thoughtful."
Mitsuki shoots me a nasty glare. "I won't." She leaves the room immediately followed by a worried Uncle Haru.
"Sorry my dear. Thank you for the presents." He says before leaving too.
Mrs Sakurada walks over to me. "Thank you my dear. I appreciate your thoughtful effords to get closer to the family."
I smile hearing her words. "Thank you so much." "Oh and miss Sakura I also got you something."
"Thank you my dear but you really didn't have to." She shyly accepts the gift.
"Mother here is yours." I hand Nick's mom her gift. She forces a smile on her face.
Meisa looked like she hadn't slept well these days and nothing but exhausted.
When we walked through the door she rushed to us about to tell us something but the rest of the family showed up and she had to keep quiet.
The worried look on her face made me anxious because cleary something must be wrong.
"Mother are you okay?" Nick asked her also picking up on her strange behavior.
Before she could say something someone asked, "Where is my gift?"
Nick and I simultaneously turn around to the source of that haunting voice.
Michael Sakurada stood by the stairs looking like he had just woken up from a nap or something.
"Grandfather!" Nick turns to Mr Sakurada confusion dancing in his eyes. "Why is he?"
"Your uncle has been forgiven for his past grievances, he has been exciled long enough and it's about time he is reuinted with the rest of the family." Mrs Sakurada says walking over to give her son a hug. "Kento, your uncle has suffered the loss of his wife on his own, he wasn't able to watch his own daughter grow up. It's about time he is forgiven."
I was too shocked to even talk and so was Nick who probably felt betrayed by everyone here.
