「This is the current GIl. It'll be up to you whether you want to help him or not. If even one of you refuses to help him, I won't.」
I literally entrusted the trio with Gil's life.
「What will happen if you don't help him, Shifu?」
Seeing Somni asking the most obvious question,
「He will die. Gil won't be able to clear this trial if he has to fight on his own. This is the consensus of all of my subordinates.」

killed by that sea bream headed monster. If he truly prioritized his own safety, then escaping on his own was his best choice.
