(Sorry about the late chapter. And the bad joke I was partially asleep when writing it, and the next morning when I saw it I thought it was funny so I kept it. Hope you enjoy the chapter.)
Lillith turned the book to the next page, and words slowly began appearing.
{Gifted Passives. No discounts}
[Pantheon's Blessing: Although more of a blessing than a skill, the owner of this skill has access to all base types of magic. Fire, water/ice, earth, wind, lightning, poison, healing, dream/illusion, dark, wood, light, spirit/taming, and metal magic affinities will be maxed out, and everything you do in life will be blessed. (Lvl:1)]
[Hidden Factor: Allows the user to see hidden stats, attributes, skills, and functions. (Lvl: 1)]
[Perfect Nexus: Although this is a skill, its true purpose is an override for the world's system. Very few have gained this "skill," and their memories and skills may be contained in it. It has a low level of sentience and grows and adapts to the user, but this takes a toll on their brain. To cope with this, it strengthens their mental stats and gives them the skill [Parallel Thinking] at max level. (Lvl: 1)—10000KTP]
[Master of Energy: All energies, similar but not excluding mana, are almost free of all impurities and slightly more condensed, giving better control of them. (Lvl: 1)—250KTP]
As Lillith finishes reading the last description, a message pops up.
{Refresh the page. My brother wanted to give you a skill as well. Oh, and don't forget to upgrade the skills before you start buying regular ones, especially [Hidden Factor].}
Confused by what the message meant by "refresh the page", Lillith just turned to the previous page and back. And to her surprise, a new skill appeared.
[Blessing of the Divine Artisan: Hand dexterity will increase, all things the user makes will be blessed, and they will become proficient in all crafts. (Lvl: 1)]
"What, why do I..." Lillith was very confused as to why Lunaire and Elois' brother would want her to have this skill, but then it hit. When Lillith was choosing hands, she picked [Divine hands of creation]. "He must've made that option...wait did I pick any other divine options? This skill is also kinda weak. Welp, whatever, thanks, Mr.Creation God. Wait a sec....hehe." After rereading the skill's description and thinking about the description for her hands, a dirty thought came to mind that Lillith couldn't help but laugh at.
Lillith sat there for a few minutes, laughing to herself about all the "possibilities", before getting hit with a wave of drowsiness. "What the hell, why am I so tired all of a sudden? Like, damn, it hit me like a truck." Lillith began to stand up and walk toward the bed, which currently contained a peacefully sleeping Lunaire. She began to get into bed as sneakily as possible to not wake up her sleeping beauty. As she began to get comfortable, Lunaire clung to her immediately like a magnet, but this was the only thing on her mind. "Truck....Truck? Have you ever woke up in bed with your mom and gotten slapped with a soggy pancake because you fucked your sister? That's how it feels to...drive...a...Ford...F-" Before she could finish her thought, she crashed.
After a few hours, Lillith woke up to a still-sleeping lunaire clinging to her. "Look at her, so peaceful and cute. Looking at her now, you'd never think about what happened last night." Lillith sat there for a few minutes, watching Lunaire sleep, eventually feeling Lillith's gaze. Lunaire began to stir and slowly opened her eyes. "Good morning, you sleepy-" Lillith was cut off by a sudden kiss, which she accepted. After a few seconds, Lillith began to pull away, only to have Lunaire wrap her arms around her, stopping her from moving. The sound of their kiss began to fill the room, and the longer it lasted, the more aggressive Lunaire got, eventually using her tongue to explore Lillith's mouth.
As their passionate kiss continued, Lunaire's hands began to wander, caressing Lillith's body with increasing intensity. Just before Lunaire's hands reached Lillith's most sensitive areas, Lillith gently broke the kiss, her breath ragged and her cheeks flushed. She looked into Lunaire's eyes, a mix of desire and hesitation evident in her gaze. Seeing Lillith's gaze, Lunaire tried to lean in for another kiss, only to end up kissing Lillith's palm. Unsure of how to proceed, Lunaire whispered softly, "I...I want... Why'd you stop me?"
Lillith's voice was calm as she replied, "I want to continue too, but we need to talk about something. I don't want things to get complicated." Lunaire nodded understandingly, her eyes filled with understanding, trying to hide her lust. "You're right," she murmured, intertwining their fingers. "What do you need to talk about, Lillith?" After a short pause, Lillith looked Lunaire dead in the eye and spoke. "Rika"
Hearing her name, Lunaire's face contorted with a dejected look that masked a hint of annoyance. "What about her?" Lillith sighed. "Well, I know we're reincarnating to the same place. And I plan to find and be with her." Lunaire's grip on Lillith's hand tightened slightly, her heart sinking at the mention of Rika. "I understand your desire to reconnect with her," Lunaire replied softly, her voice tinged with a mix of resignation and longing. "But what about us? What does this mean for our relationship?"
Seeing Lunaire's watery eyes and misunderstanding what the conversation was about, Lillith couldn't help but giggle. "Why are you giggling, you asshole? Are you trying to say that last night was nothing?" Lunaire began to cry; seeing this, Lillith became flustered and a little guilty. "Hey, that's not what I'm implying, so stop crying....please?" Lunaire's tears continued to flow as she struggled to compose herself. "It's just that... I thought we were on the same page; that last night meant something more to both of us," she managed to say between sobs. Lillith's expression softened, realizing the gravity of the situation. "I'm sorry, Lunaire. I didn't mean to hurt you or make light of our connection. Last night was special, and I don't want it to be nothing."
"Then...then why'd you bring her up? Why'd you tell me you plan to be with her in your next life too?" Lillith's eyes widened in surprise, realizing the impact of her words. She reached out to Lunaire, gently placing a hand on her shoulder. "I understand how my words may have hurt you, but please believe me when I say that mentioning her was never meant to diminish what we shared. It was simply to tell you what she said." Lunaire calmed down just slightly and was able to speak between her sniffles. "What did she say?" Lillith, seeing her mood get better, smiled. "She told me to save her a spot in my harem... Although I wasn't planning on making one, now I have to, and I don't think it's too bad of an idea, right?
"Hearing that she had jumped to conclusions, Lunaire began to sob again. "Why are you crying now? Do you think having a harem is a bad idea? I'm sorry if you don't like that idea, but I'm doing it anyway..." Lillith's voice became quiet. "Because I can choose..." Lunaire wiped away her tears and looked at Lillith with a mix of confusion and sadness. "It's not about the harem, Lillith. It's about how fast I thought you were going to leave me. I didn't even let you finish before I started thinking of the worst." Lillith kissed her on the forehead. "It's fine; I should've squeezed it out sooner, but it seems like that's not all you have to say."
Lunaire sighed. "I understand the harem thing because you don't want to choose, but am I not enough?" Lillith just stared at her with a blank expression. "No, you're more than enough for the current me, but I don't think that's the case for the new me. I think I might've made a sex monster." Lunaire smiled and failed to hide her laughter. "Aren't you already one?" With another blank expression, Lillith responded. "Compared to that thing, NO"
