"There is still no damage at all!"

"Liz, Dodge!"
*SLAM*
The Duralisk used its left arm to attack us but Liz easily dodged it.
Liz positioned herself mid-air and aimed right at the Duralisk's body.
*BANG*
*CLANG*
Liz landed safely on the ground but our attack didn't affect the Duralisk.
"Tsk, still no damage at all. What's with you, Gun-kun? Every time I pull the trigger, it becomes even harder to control you."
"That's the recoil of the gun. You need to control and maintain your upper body to have better accuracy with how you use me."
"You are so complicated to use and your voice is annoying."
"Say whatever you want with me."
Liz has been shooting the Duralisk for a few minutes but it didn't affect the Duralisk at all. We were able to make it flinched a few times but that's the only thing we can do.
"Its tough skin. Liz, do you have any idea how to defeat that demon?"
"Eh? You're asking me?"
"You are more familiar with the Duralisk than I do."
"Hoooh... It feels nice that a worthless weapon is relying on me."
"Enough talk, Liz."
"Alright. Fine."
Liz took a step back to distance herself from the Duralisk and ran away. She hid inside an abandoned house. to have the time to explain to me what we could do to defeat it.
"Actually I don't know." Liz said with a blank face.
"HAAAAH?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW?!"
"I'M TELLING THE TRUTH!!! ALL OF OUR ATTACKS ARE WORTHLESS AGAINST IT!!!"
"But there seems to be a way to defeat it right?"
"Do you see that thick armor it has, Gun-kun? It is impossible to crack it even with powerful magic. That's what makes the Duralisk a terrifying demon even though it is slow."
Liz stopped talking and was lost in her own thoughts for a second.
"Actually, there is one way we can beat it."
"And that is?"
"The only people who can defeat a Duralisk is a Legendary Fulmen. Their magic can pierce through its armor so it's possible."
Again with the things the people in this world are saying. I still don't know a lot about what Fulmen is, or what Ignis is. Are those the affinities an individual can get in this world?
Damn it. Why didn't Hecate explain all of this to me before she sent me to this world?
"But too bad it's impossible for us. I told you, Gun-kun, I don't have magic! I'm magicless!"
"I have magic, Liz-."
I blurted out those words after I remembered what Hecate said to me before.
"The magic you will possess that I will give to you is something peculiar to the world I created."
That's right. I do have magic.
"Eh? You have magic, Gun-kun? That explains a lot about why you can speak. What a strange weapon you are."
At least Liz thought that my entire existence was possible because of magic. My secret that I'm still a weapon reincarnated by Hecate, a goddess is still safe.
"So, what is your magic?"
"My magic?"
"You should know what your affinity is, right?"
"No, I don't."
"HAAAAH?! THEN HOW THE HECK ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DEFEAT THE DURALISK?!"
That's when I remember the other things Hecate said to me before.
"It's a magic that defines who you are in your previous life."
It got me thinking, Is the magic I have something that is related to what I was doing before I got into this world? I started thinking for a moment and listed down in my mind the things I was capable of doing.
Experienced in war and becoming a mercenary.
Extremely proficient with handling guns.
Can kill anyone without hesitation.
Agile with my movement and quick to react.
Those are the only things I am confident to acknowledge in myself. How can it be related to my magic-.
"Extremely proficient with handling guns..."
"Haah? Did you say anything?"
"Shut up for a moment."
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?! GUN-KUN?!"
That's it. If I'm a gun and my magic reflects what I was in my previous life then...
"Hey, Liz. Do you trust me?"
"I don't have a choice, do I? I'm stuck with you."
"Then that's enough. I have a plan to defeat it. Will you take the risk?"
"Sigh... Fine! Let's hear your crappy plan out."
I told Liz the plan I had thought of on the spot about how we could defeat the Duralisk.
For her reaction, it is expected that she widened her eyes after hearing me out.
"ARE YOU CRAZY?!"
"We don't have a choice do we?"
"I-I know. But it's too risky!"
"Hey, listen here. You are the one who wanted to help these people. It is clear that the guards earlier couldn't defeat it. We are the only ones left who have a chance to defeat it."
"And what makes you think that we will succeed?"
"Because you are the one wielding me, Liz. With someone like you, a weapon like me can be strong. You can attack, defend, or even protect those you want to. So trust me on this."
"..."
Liz went quiet for a moment after hearing those words from me.
"Okay. I'll do that plan of yours. But, if I die, I'm going to kill you!"
"Wow, as if that will happen."
"Shut up!"
"Graaah!"
The Duralisk knows where we are and has caught up to us. Itis now standing right in front of the house we are hiding.
"Are you ready then, Liz?"
Liz stood in front of the door while carrying a chair. She took a deep breath with her eyes closed and concentrated.
"Let's go!"
After Liz opened her eyes, she threw the chair she is holding beside the window breaking it.
*CRASH*
"Graaah!"
The noise got the Duralisk's attention and slowly walked to the direction of the chair.
*CLACK*
Liz kicked the door open that is in front of her and rushed forward to where the Duralisk is.
*BANG* *BANG* *BANG* *BANG*
She pulls the trigger while holding it and produces a lot of bullets to attack the Duralisk. Liz's control earlier doesn't compare to what she can do know. It is still inaccurate but it is enough to keep the Duralisk distracted. Some of the bullets missed and some hit straight to its armor.
As we fight the Duralisk, I can hear inside my head what Hecate told me back then.
"Your existence in my world will surely stir things up and it's something you will like."
You damn Goddess who watches me just for entertainment. Then, I'll show you...
Our gamble with our lives on the line!
*SWOOSH* *SWOOSH*
*BANG* *BANG* *BANG* *BANG*
Liz quickly jumped from every building while using me to shoot the Duralisk.
"This better work, Gun-kun!"
I reviewed back about the plan we discussed earlier.
"The only thing we can do to defeat it is to attack the Duralisk from the inside. unlike its armor, its inside is probably fragile and you can kill it from there . I observed earlier that every time the Duralisk roars, it opens its mouth. What we need to do is give it enough damage everywhere until it opens its mouth."
"And then I need to quickly go above its mouth and shoot it dead, right?"
"You caught up quickly."
"Then it's easy."
"It's not. You couldn't control me well. I need you to aim straight to its mouth point-blank so you can get a clear shot of it."
"HAAAH?! THAT'S LIKE SAYING TO BE ITS FOOD!!! ARE YOU CRAZY?!"
And that's the plan I just thought of.
"Graaaah!"
After receiving a lot of damage from us, The Duralisk roared out loud and opened its mouth.
"Now, Liz!"
Liz gracefully jumped above the head of the Duralisk and aimed straight at its mouth. She holds the trigger and is about to shoot.
"IDIOT!!! I TOLD YOU TO SHOOT AT POINT-BLANK!!!"
"LIKE HELL I'M GOING TO BE DEMON FOOD!!! I CAN DO THIS TRUST ME LIKE HOW I TRUST YOU!!!"
But then, something unexpected happens.
"?!"
Inside the Duralisk's mouth, it started producing fire that was about to shoot straight at us.
"It is capable of breathing fire?!"
"Tsk!"
Liz starts to worry and is at the point of accepting her death because she can't dodge this in mid-air.
But...
I have thought of the possibility that this would happen
"TRUST ME!!! LIZ!!!"
Hecate told me before that all living things have magic and that doesn't exclude the Duralisk. I thought at first that its armor was the Duralisk's magic. But what if it's something else? That's why I took this as a gamble for my plan.
And also, there is one more reason I can risk our lives just for this.
"It's a magic that defines who you are in your previous life."
I am aware that my magic is related to my proficiency with guns. But, that is not all about it.
Rifles, Shotguns, Pistols, Machine Guns, Sniper Rifles.
I can use all guns with excellence.
If the magic that Hecate gave me is something that reflects me in my previous life, then...
"TAKE AIM!!!"
"I'LL KILL YOU FOR THIS LATER, GUN-KUN!!!"
And I'll yell at you later, Liz.
But now is not the time.
"SHOTGUN!!!"
A ray of light came flashing around me. Magical rainbow particles suddenly coated the form of a rifle that I was given to. In a few seconds, I was transformed into a different gun that I shouted.
So this is my magic.
My magic is to transform into any gun I want.
"NOW!!! SHOOT!!!"
"AAAAAAH!!!" Liz yelled from the bottom of her lungs as she pulled the trigger.
*BOOM*
The shotgun produced a louder noise than the rifle I was earlier. It shot a few shells in a cone direction straight to the Duralisk's mouth.
*BOOOM*
"GRAAAAH!!!"
It interrupted the flame breath of the Duralisk and instead, the shells that were shot inside its mouth caused an explosion from its insides.
"Aghk!"
Liz was flown away and fell to the ground. She quickly stood up and faced the direction where the Duralisk was.
"G-Graaah..."
The Duralisk slowly fell on the ground until it lost its life.
"Huff... Huff..."
The fall of the Duralisk got the attention of the citizens and slowly they all gathered in the area one by one.
"That girl defeated it..."
All of the villagers' attention went to Liz who acknowledged that she was the one who killed the Duralisk.
Liz raised her hands up in the air and clenched her fists announcing that the village was now saved by her.
"WOOOOH!!!"
"Thank you for saving us!"
"May the goddess Hecate bless you!"
So that shitty Goddess is worshiped by these people, huh?
"We owe you, young girl. Sorry for doubting you earlier." The guard who went unconscious earlier apologized to Liz with the other men behind him bowing their heads down.
"I don't mind at all.
The villagers were at relief and happiness slowly spread from each of them. I am glad that it resulted in this and from Liz's reaction, she seems delighted by it as well.
But that happiness is only for a short while.
*Swoosh*
The battle between us and the Duralisk was messy and the black scarf that was covering Liz's face fell when it loosened up revealing her face.
All who are present are in shock when it is revealed who their savior is.
"It can't be."
"Damn it..."
Liz regretfully said as she bowed her head down while picking up her black scarf that fell on the ground.
"What's wrong, Liz?"
"Alice Grasiens... It's the princess of Solaria..."
"Wait, what do they mean by a princess? Do these people know you, Liz?" I asked.
"Gun-kun, let's run."
Without hesitation, Liz started running and passed all the villagers who were happy when she saved them.
But when I looked at them while Liz was running, those smiles from the villagers turned into detestation and the guards started chasing her while casting their spells.
"ALICE GRASIENS!!! YOU ARE UNDER ARREST!!!"
