Each step they took was with anger, walking with heavy hearts, their feet carrying them away from the ruins of their homes. They are refugees now, forced to seek shelter somewhere else, somewhere strange and unfamiliar, the people they had loved were gone, and all that remained were the memories of happier times. They didn't say a word to each other throughout their journey, Elijah's words of motivation make their heart determined not to give up, clinging to hope like a lifeline as they would not let despair consume them, and with each step they took, they carried a spark of resilience within them. They would rebuild, and they would endure.
" Can we at least take a break here, I'm so tired", Collins voiced out, he had been enduring the pain of his heavy feet. They were meters away from home and it was dark already.
" Break? Did you just say break? those demons would catch up to us anytime soon, don't even dream of it", Sutan said desperately. He's also tired and weak but he's more desperate to get away from those creatures he saw. He's not sure he'd be able to sleep anytime soon and even if he does he's sure he's going to have a nightmare all through.
" Let's walk a few more meters to where we can camp for the day", Elijah said,
"Can we find any here? everything here is thick forest, trees everywhere and it's so dark, I'm scared", Collins cried,
" Can you stop whining like a baby", Sutan yelled getting irritated, " why won't you be tired when you carry a whole deer along with you",
" Isn't it for our good?",
" or for the good of your belly", he said eyeing him.
Collins couldn't argue with him, he just followed them from behind, dragging his feet along. Some minutes into the night, they finally decided to settle for the night, they all thought they wouldn't be able to sleep, they were all down and tired but before they knew it, they were woken up by the bright sun that shone harshly on them. Like this, they spent three days roaming in an endless journey past the mountains, rivers, and forest and after the third night they all camp somewhere bringing out the last portion of the meat with them. They were grateful to Collins who brought along the deer cause thanks to that they were able to survive this long. When it was time to take a nap, Collins said,
" This place is looking so creepy, how about we take turns guiding the tent, to be safe", he suggested,
" We are all tired unless you start, and when it's time you'll wake someone else up to take charge", Matthew said,
" Oh no, I can't!",
" why?', Sutan asked,
" because I'm scared",
" Are you even a man?", Sutan was more than irritated now, " you're not", he said and looked away but met eyes with Timothy who looked away almost immediately,
" maybe Tim can be first",
"Maybe we should all sleep", Benjamin said, " you can't ask a betrayal to look out for you, it's like you're asking for your death".
Collins looked over at Elijah hoping he'd be brave like he always is but was shocked to see him arranging a space to sleep, his face dropped in disappointment and with that, no one agreed to be the guard.
{ The following day}
The numbness in his hands and feet made him know immediately that something was wrong, he struggled and got the message immediately that his hands and feet were tied. Elijah sprang up to see that it was morning already but that was not the issue, he looked at others and saw that their hands and legs were tied also.
" Hey guys! wake up!", he shouted waking Sutan and Luya first. He kept on shouting till he woke all of them and then they all realized the situation they all are in.
" what's going on?", Sutan asked panicking,
" why are we tied?", they began to panic.
" You're a noisy one huh?".
They all turned to where the voice was coming from and saw something astonishing.
The words were directed to Elijah.
" Do you have to wake others just by waking up?", she asked taking some steps towards him with a knife dangling in her left hand.
They looked at the strange girls from head to toe, they were dressed like they were not, putting on black all through. The one who spoke had her black hair packed in a ponytail shape, and on her forehead is a black tattoo that's on others' foreheads also, it's the same, more like their symbol, their arms were decorated with a black tattoo, and and some have a sharp black chain on their neck, the girl who spoke ( Matta) was putting on a transparent legging that was reaching her knee, and a black top that barely covers her breast because of the v- necked shape and also very short it wasn't covering her thigh. Others were either wearing black string pants and a bra with a black short robe. They are all dressed in black and have their body exposed, their eyes are painted black, including their lips, and their arms and hands are full of beautiful tattoos, including their chest and thigh. They looked scary at least to Collins, but they looked like a set of sexy warriors, barely dressed but every part of them screams strength and dominance so they can't be underestimated.
" Wow!", another girl with better clothing giggled. She walked to Matta's side, she had weapons on her, a short gown cut out in the front, exposing her thighs but yet it fitted her perfectly well, her big breast was covered but not totally as her cleavage can be seen and the tattoo on her chest. Her body is so alluring but her eyes are deadly and scary.
" I couldn't believe it when you told me but it's real", she said again laughing this time as she watched the human men in front of them in amusement, "Mother would love this",
" Who are they?", Matthew whispered to Elijah, " is this called dressing?",
" they speak our language so that just makes things easier", Elijah said like that's the only he noticed. He cleared his throat and said,
" hi, ladies",
" OMG! OMG!", the girl beside Matta jumped up, " they are speaking our language, they are humans".
" Calm down Latta", Matta said, " even demons speak a similar language",
" Can you please untie us, we mean no harm and we are sorry if we trespass into your territory, we'll leave immediately", Elijah assured,
" urghh", Matta groaned, "As I said earlier, you're being noisy",
"Believe us, we'll leave immediately", Luya added,
" You will when we are done with you, girls!", She called on the other three, " bring them", she ordered and walked ahead of them.
Timothy and Sutan made to struggle with them but they were punched hard in the stomach, they didn't expect the ladies to be that strong but they didn't see anything until they got to their small but dangerous village.
