Prologue: Huh?

The sun shined.

The birds chirped.

And David got himself a new bike.

As he opened his eyes, a childish grin spread across his face. He jumped from his bed, as if gravity itself gave way to his wonderful day. Jumping around like a toddler, excited for candy, he forgot to even brush his teeth. In his underwear, he ran down to his garage, turned on the lights, and marveled at his new girlfriend.

Kawasaki H2r, max speed of almost 400km/h, a beauty of psychotic human engineering. Sharp egdes, pointy nose, a beautiful combination of green and black, it was a motorcycle any little boy could love.

David stood on the spot, speechless.

When he woke up from his stupor, he quickly grabbed his brand new gear. Getting dressed, he put on his modern armor. His beautiful new boots, gloves, and most importantly, his brand new helmet.

Mind you, David was not rich, all this cost him years of overtime, his old motorcycle, car, gear, TV, couch, a loan which would likely cost him his house, and of course his common sense. This was by far, the most irresponsible thing he'd ever done.

Of course, he did not care. His parents were dead, the house was falling apart after the earthquake and only reminded him of their deaths. Though, most of all, he would rather start his life from scratch, than endure the never-ending boredom of meaninglessness. He wanted to forget it all, he wanted to be free and his beautiful Kawasaki H2r, which could reach almost 400km/h was the only thing that could help him.

After he forced the garage doors to open, he got on his lover and rolled it out.

The keys turn.

The sound arrives.

Ecstasy.

Naturally, he had to wait for his bike to warm up, so he enjoyed the sound, looking around, waiting. As he gazed onto the horizon, he noticed a bird flying through the skies.

"I wish I had wings, would be so nice" mumbled David.

The falcon approached closer, he even got a good look. He could swear the falcon was looking at him. Looking down at his bike, suddenly she didn't seem so great, but he got the thought out of his head. The grass is always greener across the street, no reason to ruin his day with such thoughts.

Squeeze.

Press.

Gas.

Slow release.

The bike roared.

David looked left, intending to turn right, and then he saw the sky.

"Huh?"

The car that lost control was driven by a drunk driver who swerved into his driveway.

The last thought.

"My bike!"

Flatline.

Darkness.

Blinding light.

A beatiful giant in front of him.

"Look at the feathers Rikard, such a beautiful color on him!"
