Chen gave me an unsatisfied look but said nothing.
"Your highness," Xing bowed.
Then the maids filed in with various dishes in their hands and when I looked at Chen her eyes were fixed on the dishes.
I knew she didn't have any maid to herself. Things would be easy if she had one.
"Where is the butler?" I asked my beta.
"I'll call her right away?" He said.
"Wow! So much food" she said with a smile on her face.
" Go eat" I said blankly.
She rushed to the food but as she got to the table set, paused her feet and looked at me with expressions I couldn't read.
"What?" I asked with a frown on my face.
" You didn't poison this right? " She pointed at the food looking intently at me.
I almost burst into laughter after the question she asked but I quickly restrained myself. This little one doesn't always cease to amuse me.
"Do you think so low of me? Even if I want to get rid of you, I won't use such a stupid way. "
