Our eyes met and she sighed loudly. My beta nodded, taking note of her response. Did she think I was going to let her stay before? Even before my Beta came, I was going to toss her and her things away from my room.
"Are you okay with this arrangement, Alpha?" he asked and I cleared my dry throat.
I swallowed a hard lump of saliva down my throat and answered him.
"The suggestion for us to live in separate rooms is very valid. Since we have our reasons, I give you the go-ahead," I gave my lengthy speech and Chen shrugged. I didn't expect her to be impressed or whatsoever that I was taking her side.
All I wanted was for her to be far away from me. I want my peace.
"I will ask the servants to prepare another room for Luna," my beta said, bowing slightly.
" Why are you here?" I asked him. I knew he wouldn't just wake up in the middle of the night and come to my room for nothing.
