Cupid's POV
Alright let's take this from the top. Hi my name is Cupid don't let the name fool you I'm not a God of love, no infact I'm an Exceed. I was sent here from Edolas on a mission. A mission that I have no recollection of. I was born ten minutes before Happy. I'm a Proud Fairy Tail wizard but at times it gets difficult but I always strive to be Number 1. That's our guilds motto to be the number 1 strongest guild in all of Fiore. I'm also apparently the only one of my kind to get S class wizard status so says the magic council.
I am best at water magic which can destroy the dragon slayers though who'd ever have a vendetta against them? They're our friends and family. Oh right my Wizard Knight Dan is a Water Dragon Slayer.
He utterly annihilates another dragon slayer named Natsu, he's the fire dragon slayer. Honestly boys will be boys. One day the Guild hall and Team Shadow Gear were skewed on a tree we went to war with Phantom Lord. In the process we got two new members Black Steel Gajeel and Element 4 Juvia the Rain Maiden.
You'd think that being Water mages as well we'd hit it off with Juvia but nope she only is interested in Gray. Gray Fullbuster an Ice Wizard taught by a great wizard Ur. Though because of him being taught by her he now has that bad habit of taking off his clothes automatically and it's subconsciously done as well. So he's almost always seen in his underwear which has caused Natsu and Gray to fight on multiple occasions.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention that I'm a part of Erza's team because I liked Happy and would treat him like a little brother. Erza Scarlet a fellow S Class Wizard and strongest female in the Fairy Tail Guild nicknamed Titania Erza. She uses Requip magic which allows her to as the name implies Requip different armors or weapons. Then as Happy states makes her enemies bleed a lot. Which looking at some of her battles I can say this isn't entirely untrue. But it's not because of her swords or weapons no, I think they bleed through their noses.
Well after Gajeel's attack on Fairy Tail I started getting entirely nervous around him. Yes I'm the strongest wizard of Fairy Tail but he still terrifies me. Oh right there's other humans who fight for the right to call themselves Fairy Tail's strongest wizard. Laxus, Master Makarov's grandson was one of these people. There's Mystogan who doesn't want others to see what he looks like only Myself, Dan, Master and Laxus have seen what he looks like. To say I was shocked was an understatement the first time I saw him. It was the Jellal Edolas counterpart I was shocked at first but me and him became good friends.
Then there's the second strongest wizard in Fairy Tail Gildarts. Father of Cana our resident heavy drinker and fortune teller. He's so powerful that the entirety of Magnolia splits in two whenever he comes back. His magic is basically what you call destructive he can walk into anything and it's instantly destroyed.
Cana predicted that I'd meet an overbearing white princess that has the power to perceive the future and fall in love. I obviously scoffed at this because I didn't believe in love. I believed in living a long life being a lone cat.
Now that you've been introduced to the Fairy Tail's S Class wizards and others I think it's time to tell you all when and what happened when I met not only the Sky Dragon Slayer but also her Exceed.
We were currently facing a high rise in dark guilds. A dark guild is a guild that disobeyed the Magic council and went to do their own thing after specific laws were set in place.
Master Makarov, Master Bob, Jura a fellow Wizard Saint, and the Cait Shelter guild all decided to form an alliance to face against the Oracion Seis. A dark guild and one of the strongest only to have six members. Well Team Erza which was nicknamed Team Natsu we headed towards Blue Pegasus guild. We had to check in with them. Honestly? I don't feel comfortable with Blue Pegasus. If their master is anything to go off of what the rest of the guild is like then I don't ever want to meet them.
After Lyon freezes the face of Ichiya who was actually the weakest wizard here.
"It seems the members from the Cait Shelter guild have yet to arrive." Jura says to everyone present.
"Yes from what I've heard. They are only sending one member." Ichiya reveals to everyone present.
"One member? How intense is this guy gonna be?" Lucy asks as I noticed a girl run in and fall flat on her face three times.
"Kya." The girl shouts out loud.
"Are you okay?" I asked her walking over to her.
"Yes I'm fine. I have come from the Cait Shelter guild my name is Wendy Marvell." This girl reveals looking honestly adorable while introducing herself.
After everyone's revelation that she's a kid. That's when another exceed walks into the building and scolds Wendy like a parent would.
"Carla." Wendy says stating the Exceeds name.
"Thumbity thump thumbity thump thumbity thump." Happy says out loud mimicking a heartbeat.
"You love her~" Lucy says smugly.
"Hey that's my shtick copy cat." Happy shouts as Carla scoffs and looks away from Happy.
I had to follow Happy just to make sure he doesn't ruin a chance to defeat the dark guild. He honestly almost messed it up when Carla broke a door handle trying to find the bathroom and blushes in embarrassment. Then Happy called her baby. That's when he also tries to invite her to eat fish with him. I couldn't bare watching this go on any longer.
"Honestly Happy. You need to learn a little class. Focus on the task at hand. Flirting can come later." I said to Happy dragging him off and I didn't notice Carla's nose twitch at my scent.
"Now that I brought Happy is there anyone else I need to bring down here so we can get this done?" I asked everyone with a glare.
"Wait where's Carla?" Wendy asks me.
"I'm right here child. No need to worry." Carla says from behind me. I turned around expecting to see her but nope. I kept turning around to try to see her but nothing.
"Honestly can you stop moving around so fast." Carla shouts in my ear.
That's when I realized she was on my back.
"Please get off of me." I asked of her a little annoyed that Happy rubbed off on such a sophisticated exceed.
That's when she finally gets off and walks back over to Wendy acting like nothing happened. Happy should take some notes. If he had at least a tiny bit of Carla's class he'd be a tiger in the field of dating.
He's kind, helpful, protective and funny. Now if only he could add class on the list of his traits he'd be a killer.
"Take some notes Happy. Carla has what's known as class. If you had only a little bit of it you'd be a killer little bro." I said to him ruffing up his fur.
"You really think so?" Happy asks still hopeful he could get Carla if he only puts in Class.
"I know so." I said to him.
Time skip to after Wendy healed Jellal thinking it was Mystogan
"You both look for Happy and Wendy from the skies. I'll keep fighting." I said to Carla and Natsu fighting against the speed demon of the Oracion Seis.
"But Cupid." Natsu says to me.
"Just go!" I shout at them turning into my human form. I then jumped headlong in to fight him. I was using the plants all around me to get my water.
"Alright let's go." Natsu says to Carla who carries Natsu.
I was then overwhelmed by his strikes and before he could kill me Gray and Lyon freezes the water on him which makes him slow down to a total stop. I then started beating up on him.
"My name is Cupid, Wizard, Exceed and proud member of the Fairy Tail Guild and don't you forget it." I said to him sending him blasting off.
I then fainted and turned back into my exceed form.
"Hold on buddy I've got you." Gray shouts while running in probably the same way that camp was set up.
Time skip to when Happy and Natsu goes up the mountain for a couple years to train
It's been a couple days since Fairy Tail disbanded. Everyone went their separate ways especially myself and Carla whom we've been good friends for almost two years now. Natsu and Happy went up on a mountain to train. I was invited by the ten Wizard Saints to become an advisor to the new Magic Council.
Carla's POV
I had decided to go with Wendy after Fairy Tail disbanded. Though my instincts were telling me to go with Cupid I kept fighting that urge. It eventually stopped. We were then enlisted by Wendy's friend Sherria to join Lamia Scale. That we did and I finally mastered my transformation ability. After Cupid used it when we first met I was entranced by the skill.
"You have some visitors Wendy." Lyon says to Wendy whom just finished with her Sky Sister's performance.
"Yo!" I heard Natsu's voice.
"Long time no see." I heard Lucy's voice.
"Hey Wendy do you remember us?" Happy exclaims excitedly.
After they started talking I finally approached them stating to Wendy to think it through. While yes it would be nice to see Cupid again but my main focus should be on Wendy.
"Wait where's Dan and Cupid?" Lucy asks just now realizing that us four aren't together.
"Dan's on the Magic Council he normally stops by every now and again to check up on us or sends Cupid to do so." Lyon states to everyone.
"We tried convincing them to stay here with Carla's clairvoyance showing us that you'd be coming here to bring Fairy Tail back. With no such luck." Sherria states to Lucy, Natsu and Tomcat.
"Really? Well we should start heading out then." Natsu says like he was beaten down by a sadness stick only to freeze in his chair and sniff the air.
"He's coming. If we're not able to get Wendy. Hopefully we'll be able to get him." Natsu states still sitting there.
I was confused about who he meant until I felt that pull to be by the side of Cupid that only happens when he comes here.
"Oh no I'm not ready." I said turning tail and bolting into the bedrooms.
Cupid's POV
"Alright Wendy I'm here to check in on you guys." I said to Lamia Scale holding up a clipboard as I walked in.
"Oh hello Happy." I said to him passing him still staring at my clipboard.
"How'd you know it was me?" Happy asks me.
"Honestly Happy. We're brothers you'd think by now I'd know what you smell like. Which I do." I said to him not looking up from my clipboard. I was honestly hoping to smell Carla it's been a year since I have seen her and to be honest I miss my best friend. I did smell traces of her scent but nothing strong enough to basically be right in front of me.
I then dropped my clipboard to look at Lamia Scale.
"Lamia Scale I notice you have a member missing. Anyway let's get this evaluation underway." I said to them hopping on top of the table.
"First up is Wendy. You still being a good person Wendy?" I asked her as I placed my clipboard on the table and start looking all over Wendy.
"Uhm yes Cupid I have." Wendy states nervous. That's to be expected she's always been nervous throughout this entire evaluation that the council set up.
"Anyone in the guild taking assassination requests?" I asked looking at them.
"No." Lyon states to me.
"Alright. Next question any new powers the council should know about?" I asked them.
"Nothing really new." Lyon states.
"Carla has a human form and it's just the cutest." Happy exclaims.
"Yes they already knew about Carla's transformation ability. Next question for Lyon do you feel incapable of leading a Guild?" I asked him.
"I don't feel incapable in fact I'd say I'm making the original masters proud." Lyon says to me.
"Final question. Any shows or fundraisers we should know about?" I asked them.
"Yes we just finished our Sky Sister's performance. We also had a Talent show albeit not very good." Lyon says to me.
"Uh huh. Well thank you for your honesty. Well same time next month or two." I said to them walking towards the door only to be stopped by Natsu.
"Natsu don't." Wendy begs.
"Ah figured you'd be here Natsu. First question how was your training?" I asked him as I flipped the front paper to the next.
"Why don't you fight me and find out?" Natsu shouts at me charging at me. I then simply touched his leg as he was charging at me and he fell on the ground paralyzed temporarily except for his head. Though without his arms or legs he can't release his fire.
"Hmm you did make okay progress. Next question why are you trying to rebuild Fairy Tail?" I asked him just looking at my clipboard.
"Why not? It was family our family!" Natsu says to me.
"Unfortunately to me it won't be the same unless you can find Gramps. Which I know you're working towards but nobody can find him. Without a proper Master a guild can't run." I said to him looking at my clipboard.
"Good day Lamia Scale I'm pleased to say you pass evaluation. Though I do wish that all members were present and accounted for. Natsu I'm sad to announce that you have remained the same despite training for a year." I said to them opening the door and leaving.
I then walked back to Era to make my report. I actually like to walk though I do wish I could fly. I was then stopped by Gajeel and Pantherlily.
"How'd evaluation go? Do I need to arrest them?" Gajeel asks me.
"I was right, with Wendy and Carla there Happy, Natsu and Lucy would show up. Both parties considered they all passed evaluation with flying colors. Though Gajeel you need to stop holding vendetta's if you're going to keep this job." I said to Gajeel as he knew I was right. Gajeel really jumps at the chance to arrest anyone and everyone from Fairy Tail especially when it comes to Team Natsu. Especially going for stupid reasons to arrest anyone.
I then was escorted by Pantherlily inside the magic council building.
"Did Natsu really pass?" Pantherlily asks me.
"Not really but he did show some improvement. Though you and I both know if I said otherwise to Gajeel he'd arrest anyone who took part in that evaluation especially Wendy and Carla." I said to him as we just kept walking.
"You're not wrong about Gajeel. I even have to remind him when he can't arrest someone." Pantherlily says to me as I finally got to the council room.
"I'm happy to report that Lamia Scale passed their evaluation despite one member not being present and accounted for." I said to the Magic council reading off of my clipboard.
"That's to be expected since the member in question is Carla. Good job now we need you to go find Mystogan." Dan says to me.
Yes Fairy Tail has been being rebuilt by both the magic council and Natsu though on two separate sides. Natsu wants it to return like it used to expecting it to be the same. While Dan, The Magic Council made up of the Ten Wizard Saints, and myself wants it to return so Dark Guilds will decrease in number and having Fairy Tail comeback would do just that.
"Unfortunately Mystogan no longer exists. He went back to Edolas before it's destruction and we can only guess he's been destroyed as well. Laxus is actually trying to find his grandfather. Erza is at the Fields of Destiny training. Mira and siblings are in Lacrima so we can improve their powers. Wendy and Carla are under Lamia Scale. Most of the other members scattered to the winds except for the half that we have here." I said to them reading off my clipboard.
"What do you suggest we do?" Jura asked me.
"Honestly what can we do? If we reveal what we're doing here, trying to rebuild Fairy Tail we will be attacked and killed by all the Dark Guilds. But if we allow Natsu to find the rest of the members for us we can finally have Fairy Tail back." I said to them.
"What about Wendy and Carla?" Dan asks me.
"Honestly it hurts that Carla's been avoiding me during evaluation. Though if I know my best friend like I do. Carla will follow Wendy anywhere. Wendy will follow Natsu and leave Lamia Scale as they have a sibling relationship just like I do with the Exceeds." I said to them.
"Thank you, you may leave." Wolfheim says to me as I bowed and walked out.
As the scenery warps once again
This time myself and Dan were in front of the newly reconstructed Fairy Tail Guild Hall.
"Hey Everyone." I said to them entering the building. I knew that Erza was the Master in Makarov's absence so it should be more controlled.
"Sir yes sir." Fairy Tail shouts.
"I was expecting it to be less militant here. Where's Erza?" I asked everyone as they just continued working.
"You wanted to see me Cupid?" Erza asks from behind me.
"Yes let's go get some cake. I'll buy I have much to discuss with you regarding the locations of the others." I said to Erza as we both walked away.
Wendy's POV
"Was that Cupid?" Carla asks hiding behind a pillar.
"Carla what's been going on with you? You aren't normally like this." I stated the obvious.
"I don't know child. It's just when he comes around I get all nervous and flustered then I feel underdressed and run off." Carla says to me as I nod in understanding.
"I think you love him Carla." I stated the obvious yet again.
"No I could never love someone who looks and acts like Tomcat. I don't have time for love I need to focus all my energy and time into protecting you." Carla says to me.
Cupid's POV
I was walking with Erza to the nearest cake shop.
"So where is everyone?" Erza asks me.
"Mystogan is dead. Laxus is currently trying to find Gramps and as for Gildarts I have no clue. Probably took another decade or millennial quest." I said to her.
"Alright so we can no longer count on those 3 to protect us." Erza says holding her fingers to her chin.
"No we can't. Now I have a question. Where's Carla? I haven't seen her since we split up a couple years ago." I said to Erza.
"She's back at the guild." Erza states to me. As we ordered 100 cakes for everyone since they've done a super job of working.
I walked in first and was met with everyone fighting while Wendy and Carla were sitting off to the side cowering. I finally decided to announce our arrival which made everyone in the guild hall freeze.
"Alright Erza guess we're gonna eat all those 100 cakes by ourselves." I said as Erza walks in with a glare directed towards the people all grouped together. I then walked over to Wendy and Carla. I noticed Carla doing the same thing that Happy did when first seeing her, she starts grooming her hair.
I placed two cakes in front of the two of them.
"There you go. Since I'm sure you two weren't a part of this." I said to them patting their heads as I walked back to Erza.
"Now get back to work!" Erza demands of them.
"What room do you want put in Cupid?" Erza asks me.
"A game room. Preferably on the second floor." I stated as Erza sends a glare to the rest of the guild before they could complain.
Myself and Erza were eating the cake's while watching everyone else work. Carla and Wendy walked over to us and sat down and started eating with us. Since they didn't take part in the usual fight they were allowed to do so. All 4 of us finished the 100 cakes in an hour and half later.
Currently everyone was on the ground panting. I rose from my seat and decided to check their progress.
"If I don't find everything done I'm gonna tell Erza to whip you guys into shape." I said to everyone.
This is fun seeing them go from panting like exhausted dogs to working like busy bees. I just walked around and saw they were currently working on the second floor.
"Let's see here first floor should contain bar and kitchen. Check. Swimming pool?" I asked myself going to the back and saw The First Master in a swim suit along with Finn whose in swimming trunks. I just checked that off the list and waved at them. They waved back and I walked back inside. Meeting room? I rechecked it and it said library. I decided to scout out for the library. Checking all the other stuff as I go along. I ended up finding the library. The first floor was cleared so I went back to the main area.
"Seems like Natsu got his wish of things staying the same. Now it's time to see the upstairs." I said out loud walking over to the stairs and climbed up them. I really wish I could fly.
I started finding everything almost immediately except for the game room. Until Dan picks me up and puts me in an empty room.
"This is your game room. It's yours to do with as you wish." Dan says to me.
I checked my clipboard and headed back out to the rafters. I then jumped down to the bottom floor.
Gray and Juvia saw this and used their magic to make a slide.
"Whee!" I exclaimed as I finally touched down to the ground floor the slide vanished.
Carla came running over to me.
"Are you okay?" Carla asks me checking me over to see if I had injuries. When she found none she proceeds to beat my head into the ground for scaring her. Which that seems a little counterproductive.
After she was done Carla walks off with a hmph. Dang I sure hope she doesn't love me if this is what her love feels like then I don't want it. I actually feel in pain all over as I just laid in the ground. I still didn't believe Cana's prediction because I still don't feel love.
Time skip brought to you by injured Cupid being healed by Wendy while Carla watches
Myself and Carla have been friends for 5 years now. In those five years Laxus decides to hold yet another tournament to decide the guilds strongest again. Makarov was also located so he resumed the position of Master. He held all the girls hostage and I was angry I charged out of the fairy tail guild hall. Dodging every trap that the thunder legion put in place. I then beat Laxus into the ground.
"Turn Carla and the girls back Now!" I said to him pinning him down by his neck.
In the end he was kicked out until he learnt the importance of family. Which he didn't learn until about five months later.
A day after I beat Laxus the entire guild was relatively back to normal. Right now I was on the second floor in the room where the S Class Quests are trying to find a good quest to take on.
I was staring at the S Class request board. I decided to take the request to wipe out demons and monsters. I was thinking about who I could take with me.
"Hmm Erza wouldn't come with me she's too busy eating her cake's. Dan is on a date with Lucy and when I tried to ask him for assistance on a quest he yelled at me. So I'm not gonna ask him. Pantherlily and Happy? Both of them are powerful in their own right. No, they went home already. Carla and Wendy? If they get hurt I would regret it." I said out loud on the ground staring at the S Class Quest paper in my paw. My mind kept going back to Carla and Wendy. If I take them I'll protect them with my life.
I decided to take them along since they both are powerful together. They were almost killed on several accounts but I didn't allow them to be harmed. Now I'm currently on a bed with wires coming out of me. In a hospital room. In the darkness of the void between life and death. I kept hearing and thinking about Carla.
"C'mon Cupid wake up! Fight please fight." Carla says to me daily.
I woke up and noticed Carla there.
"Carla?" I asked her dazed, obviously.
"You idiot. Why would you take those blows for us?" Carla says to me crying.
"I couldn't stand the thought of putting you two in harm's way. I care about you both a lot." I said to Carla in a friendly way.
"It pains me to be away from you. Will you let me be your girlfriend?" Carla asks me.
Girlfriend? I thought she already was. What's the difference between a girl friend and a girlfriend?
"Sure?" I said to her as she licks my cheek.
Oh! THAT kind of girlfriend. Well now I'd feel really awful if I didn't do it as well or at least try at this.
I licked her cheek as well as she blushes. For some reason licking her cheek just felt natural to me.
"We should keep this secret. I'd rather not have the whole guild panic nor Wendy." Carla says to me. I agreed to that because I knew she knew what's best with her clairvoyance.
It's been 3 months since myself and Carla have been dating in secret. We were just walking through the town of Hargeon with our tails intertwined.
"I have a question Carla. Why did you date me and not Happy?" I asked her.
"Well I saw him as more of a little brother than anything. When you appeared to drag Happy away your classiness, and your posture my instincts were telling me to date you." Carla says to me.
"One fish please." I asked the fish vendor.
"For the happy couple it's free." The fishing vendor says to me.
"Actually it's for my brother we don't really eat fish but he does." I said to him as he still refuses the payment.
"So why don't you eat fish?" Carla asks me.
"It's because I'm deadly allergic to eating fish. I can hold them all I want or be in the same vacinity as fish but as soon as I take a bite I only have 21 hours to live which that number goes down each fish I consume." I said to Carla.
"Does anyone else know?" Carla asks me as we sat on the train side by side.
"No, you're the only one that knows." I said to her.
"I think you should at least tell Dan. He deserves to know with you being partners." Carla says to me.
"Oh sure let me just tell him that I have a deadly allergy to fish. He'd judge me." I said to Carla turning towards the window looking out of it.
"No he won't." Carla says to me putting her paw on mine.
"Still can't believe Cana was right." I said to Carla licking her cheek.
"What do you mean?" Carla asks me.
"She foretold I would meet an overbearing white princess and fall in love." I said to her.
"I'm not overbearing!" Carla says to me.
"Oh then you know another exceed princess that is white, acted exactly like Happy being overbearing and is one I love?" I asked her teasingly.
Carla blushes and turns to look away from me.
"All in all you were overbearing when we first met. I remember I hated you for it but then I started finding it sweet as a friend kind of way. Then we became best friends and I wanted to protect you from everything and got lonely when you didn't show up for evaluation." I said to her turning her head towards me ever so softly.
"Well I'm here now by your side." Carla says to me leaning on my shoulder. Then we pulled into Magnolia station. We got off completely and utterly detached from each other.
"Here Happy I got you a present from Hargeon." I said to him giving him fish.
"What took you both so long?" Happy asks eyeing me down as he's still trying to go for Carla despite being rejected on multiple occasions.
"Had to find the best fish for my little brother." I said to him as I placed it in his paws and he was drooling over it. I put on my backpack again and walked back to the guild hall.
Time distorts again putting us five days before Carla and Cupid's 1 year anniversary.
I finally finished ordering the game room equipment and was currently putting it all in there with help from the men of the guild. Specifically Elfman, Pantherlily, Romeo, Gajeel, Laxus and Happy. Happy was in charge of the smaller stuff while as everyone else helped with the bigger stuff. After we were done I paid each of them a fair amount of jewel for their assistance. Elfman ended up getting a gift for his two sisters in his terms "To be manly." when in fact he's being sweet. Laxus ends up helping his grandpa get a new desk and chair with his pay. Romeo, Gajeel and Pantherlily ends up helping with their rent. Surprisingly enough those three share an apartment together. Happy got more fish so no surprise there.
