It was a strange thing, watching Chuck get ready to board one of their private jets, his endless luggage going in before him. Over the years, Nate had watched his cousin board countless flights, but the finality of this one was something else. It felt more like a funeral than a send off where the other person was still alive.
To make matters worse, even as he was waiting to get onto the plane, Chuck still did not show a hint of remorse. In his mind, he was the one who was wronged, and it was pretty clear that there would be no convincing him otherwise. This was a man set in his ways.
"I will not forget this dear cousin. For so long as I draw breath, I will do everything in my power to make sure you never know a moment of peace," It was a lame threat, made by sad excuse of a man. He might not be going to jail, but Chuck was done. Never allowed to set foot on Greek soil again. Banished to a family estate in the middle of nowhere. His access to his funds limited.
