Chapter 11 - Heil

Heil P.O.V

I've always lived up to the name people gave me. A despicable alpha with zero tolerance. Hahah! They should pick better words to flatter me.

I returned to Cratorlin to acquire my master's in Electrical Engineering and Chemistry. Like my great-grandfather, I like blowing things up. I guess evil does run in my genes. I expected my term at the university to be smooth like the first, but I met a wild omega that managed to invade my plans. With eyes like a dove and a smile like the blazing sun, Jin is a rare one.

He earned himself the title of the first student to get close enough to come into my house. How we met is not so important, but how I became his source of comfort still intrigues me. Jin is dominant, but he struggles with his heat- a side effect of being pumped with strange inhibitors for years. When I first met him, he was a freshman with the guts of a lion and the swiftness of a hare. I'll admit, it felt good letting him depend on me when I knew he'd never trusted any alpha before.

A few nights ago, Jin came unannounced- something very unusual of him. Immediately he entered, I could sense his restlessness. I took him into my arms and tried to keep him calm like I always did. I worked my magic on him- at least, I thought it worked for a while. But then his scent only became stronger and stronger. I could feel him tremble a little in my arms.

"Mnn." He let out a soft moan that made my heart thump. His breath on my skin, arms tightening around my neck, I could feel his soft lips on my ear.

"Jin, are you alright? Should I get you suppressants?" I cupped his face, and he slid his cold hands over mine, shaking his head. I admit, at that moment, I could not tear myself away. I groaned in response to his deceptive gaze.

"Mnn?" Jin leaned in, rubbing his nose against mine, teasing me to make a move on him. 'Resist, he's messing with your head." My conscience was loud, but my mind was muddled with his aura.

Kissing Jin when he was aching for it made me wonder why I didn't do it sooner. He was like a snake, drawing me in with every touch and controlling my strength with his venom. If only he knew the kind of power he had. I let him take advantage of me. Hah! Who'd ever imagined such a thing?

The couch felt big enough for the both of us, and he pulled me on top of him, forcing my shirt off. God! He was hot... His skin was smooth and warm. Jin's hands tugged at my pants while we sucked on our tongues.

*slit* My canines were out and ready to bite and claim him. I could tell he was startled, but Jin closed his eyes and stuck out his neck for me.

I was going to do it. I was going to make him my property. But that dog had to show up at the house. I could smell his alpha pheromones from a distance, and I knew he'd target Jin if he found out I was distracted. Fuck! Jin's pheromones stuffed the air, and I wondered if he could already smell it.

"Jin, you have to go." I pulled back and quickly wore my shirt.

"Wh...why? Don't you want me?" his words made me feel like a moron. Of course, I wanted him; that's why I protected him. He came at the wrong time, and I could not explain everything. So I chose the easy way out.

" Jin, I can't do this. Go home," I let him down, but he kept insisting. I pulled the next pitiful card- telling him he reminded me of myself. Was that really the best I could come up with?!

Eventually, I got him out. Fortunately, he used a spell to get here so I could help him get back unnoticed. I quickly went for my pheromone blockers and sprayed the room to tame his scent. "Wriler, I thought I made it clear not to show up unannounced?" I frowned. This idiot blew my chance. "The master wants you in the capital. Says it's urgent." The alpha made himself comfortable. I told him I'd go later, but he said I was to return with him.

*Sigh* I hate when things don't go my way. Oh well, better late than never...

(P.O.V ended.)

The Lees returned to their homeland, Kanza, for the holidays. Disciples gathered around them in excitement, wanting to know how many rules the Wild Tiger had already broken at Cratorlin. "Close to three hundred in just a year," Bolin announced, and they applauded Jin. "Are you kidding me? You're happy he disgraced our tribe to the Knoxs?" he frowned.

Jin: " Bolin, stop messing with my thunder. I could have broken a hundred more of those rules if you had not held me back."

"Really, and I thought it was Zhen Knox that held you back!" Bolin poked, knowing very well Jin did not want to hear that name.

"Senior Brother, I heard you two were getting married before Senior Sister," the youngest disciple said.

"Yeah, heard you fought with many alphas as well. Wow, you're truly an amazing omeg... aah!" another disciple felt a knock on the head to remind him of the forbidden word. No one was permitted to say the word 'omega' in their presence.

Jin's mood was already spoiled by Bolin, but he forced a smile throughout until he closed the door behind him in his room. Then he began to cuss and call Zhen all the names he could think of while fighting his pillow.

In Cratorlin, Zhen knocked on his mother's door. "Come in, son," Celine held up a sweet smile. She was busily engrossed in an embroidery she thought would look good on her soon-to-be sons-in-law. "You're making new designs?" Zhen commented, seeing how dedicated his mother was.

"Mn...This is for your brother's bride," she pointed at the finished product on the side table. "And this...I believe this would be perfect for your bride," Madam Knox beamed, noting the redness on Jin's nose as she pointed to her current work. "Do you think he'll like it?" she added.

Zhen: "Yes."

A brief period of silence passed. Madam Knox could tell his son had something on his mind. "Zhen, you can tell me what's bothering you."

Zhen: "..."

Madam Knox: "Do you want to call off the wedding?"

Zhen's eyes widened slightly, and the woman chuckled. "I'm only kidding."

The alpha's breath steadied. "Mother, do you think he'll ever forgive me?"

Celine stopped threading and turned to him. "Depends. How about you tell me why you attacked him the second time? Clearly, he did not provoke you in any way. It'll be between us."

Zhen tried to keep his head up but couldn't look his mother in the eye for what he was about to say. "He keeps getting closer to others without being careful...lets everyone else call him casually, yet says I can't. I wanted him to laugh only for me. In the beginning, I didn't understand why, but... " Madam Celine watched her son continue to bare his heart out. "I...I was afraid someone would claim him before I did," Zhen said.

"*Sighs* Well, I guess Jin was right to presume you wanted this all along. If you're going to win him over, you'll have to be ready to step out of your shell and challenge his heart. Not with pheromones or titles but with patience and understanding. I bet he'd be less upset if you told him what you just told me." Celine stroked his face...

Zhen went in search of his brother after leaving. 'Mother knows best,' his conscience kept chanting as he walked with his hands behind him. Lost in the clouds, Zhen did not realize when he passed the one he was looking for.

"Zhen...Hello, calling from Earth to Zhen... Brother!" Xander yelled, jolting his brother back to reality. "Sorry. I didn't see you," Zhen walked toward him.

Xander: "That's fine."

Zhen: "Brother, about what you said the other night. I'll take it. Help me win Jin over."

"That's more like it. I'll be the perfect Wingman," Xander pathed Zhen's shoulder and invited him for tea.

A few days later...

The Lee siblings were having a video call with the rest of their crew in Lee Ann's room.

Hudson: "Can't wait to return to campus. My brother keeps forcing me to practice with my sword. He's driving me nuts."

Jin: "Hudson, why don't you just turn your paper fan into a weapon? You seem to love it more than any sword."

Hudson: "Not bad. Will you teach me how?"

Bolin: "Go to hell, lazy bones. We've got a wedding to plan."

Wren: "Pff!... Bo said wedding, and Jin's face turned into a blowfish."

Ann: "Haha! You should see what happens when someone mentions the word 'Ice-Dragon' or Zhen-Knox. He turns into a spitting Lama."

Jin's reaction made them crack up more. "Oh look, it's a new one! He's turned red. What animal is that?" Hudson teared up. "I don't know, maybe a shrimp or lobster!" Bolin fuelled.

Jin frowned at being teased. To him, it was not fair. He was the one that usually did the teasing. However, getting a taste of his own medicine did not make him repent.

"Sage, don't laugh; back me up!" Jin cried.

Wren: "Sage, laugh at him, or I'll stick needles in your funny bone!"

In the middle of their fun, Jin received a text message that made him scrunch his face. "How the hell did he get this number?!"

Ann: "Who is it?"

Bolin stretched his neck to see the caller. "It's Zhen Knox!" Jin exclaimed. Just then, the phone began to ring.

Bolin: "Oh shit, guys, he's calling. Jin, throw that phone away asap."

Ann: "No, answer it."

Jin peered at the name on the screen, contemplating his next move...
