Most kids exhibit traits of their gender during high school but only a few show signs sooner, like in the case of the Lee brothers. Worried her boys might be harassed, Madam Lee Sang gave them specially-made suppressants to delay their reproductive growth. It was very effective for a while, but with time their systems began to fight the drug, and they started getting noticed.
The Lee boys grew up believing they were dominant alphas and did not take it so lightly when their friends started sniffing their hair and flirting with them. Soon their patience ran out, and their fists did the talking. Almost every day, Madam Lee would be called to their school to settle hospital bills, but she defended her children at all costs.
The names of the Lee siblings were all over the media. Thanks to the brothers, Lee Ann was also dragged into the matter. She was not so innocent-some fights were also triggered by her presence. With time, they were tagged 'The White Tigers' of the Lee Clan. Bolin was called the fiery tiger due to his temperament, Jin was the exotic or wild tiger, and Ann was the pure one.
Madam Lee was wrong when she thought her sons would cause less trouble if sent to The University Of Cratorlin.
(Fast Track to the party...)
"Zhen, let it go." Xander reached for his brother's hand to calm him down. "Let's head back home," he added. Zhen Knox controlled himself and chose to follow Xander.
" Chicken!*cough* *cough*" Jin mocked his opponent. And it worked! Zhen suddenly attacked with his infamous sword, the Ghost-Maker. Known as a man of few words, Zhen barely held up an argument, but when he meant to do something, he did not waste time.
The strike was fast and precise, but Jin's dual sword, Anarchy and Mist, received it with an evil grin. "Why the rush? Let's fight in the Ice Room. I wouldn't want to hurt anyone here by accident," he said after their swords clashed.
It was not allowed for those who studied the arts of their clans to walk around with their weapons, so they had to either keep them in a spirit pouch or hide them in a spirit array. To summon one's spirit weapon was only allowed in duels and times of danger, but these two decided to do it at the end-of-year party.
"Fine!" Zhen answered, making Jin lead the way. The ice room was beside the complex's main hall, reserved for high-profile events. The walls, made of transparent solid glass, can not be damaged easily.
Once the door was shut, the duel began. Zhen fought well, but Jin's elusive ways left the audience outside mesmerized.
No alpha thought of challenging the Knot brothers in Cratorlin. This was their city, and they were the law. Seeing an omega battle one of the brothers without showing signs of strain was genuinely remarkable.
Jin got crafty, throwing magical smoke bombs to cloud his opponent's vision. But Zhen's tribe was a unique breed that could detect body heat regardless of the barriers. Jin somersaulted in the air and landed on a table, escaping another dangerous strike when the smoke bombs failed.
"Wow, that omega is amazing!" Some murmured. Bolin wanted to slap them for saying that, but he let it go and went to his sister's side.
"Tired already?" Jin chuckled after the tip of his sword cut through Zhen's sleeve.
"Hey, look out! Don't let that blade touch you, or you'll become a ghost!" Bolin's unnecessary coaching did little to motivate his brother. Instead, it took over Jin's focus. Zhen then had the chance to slam the omega into a wall, his pheromones going wild with rage. Xander sensed that the room would be unbearable for any omega.
Ann and Hudson could barely stay still when Wren and Sage squeezed their way to them. "Guys, Heil is coming. If he sees those two stuck in a room, things will worsen," Wren said.
"We're late; he's here." Lee Ann saw the thick crowd parting to give way.
"What's going on here?" It did not take long for Heil to notice that Jin had been nailed by a dominant alpha. He shot Xander an angry look for letting it happen and then kicked the glass.
Xander was puzzled. "Is Jin not that affected by pheromones?" He knew well that even suppressants could not stop his brother at that range.
Zhen's lips parted slightly as he heaved out short breaths, his light green eyes, laced with specks of red, now coldly fixed on Jin. The crowd outside could not take the suspense, and many believed the fight had ended. This omega was caught in a dangerous position.
The crowd increased, and many had their phones in the air.
"This was a good fight, but that omega is gone. Zhen Knox seems to be letting out pheromones in there."
"Yes, he's alpha chow now. I don't see him getting out of that. Wow, I wish I stemmed from a mighty clan of pride. So fascinating."
"This happens when you battle the bearer of the Ghost Maker. The Wild Tiger was a worthy opponent."
"Oh, my God!... HE'S GOING TO GET MARKED!!!"
Xander's mouth dropped as people discussed what was happening before him.
Zhen's eyes narrowed on Jin's neck as he began to smell something sweet. He looked closer, suddenly noting how flattering the omega's features were.
"Hey! Knox, what the heck are you staring at?" Jin had been holding his breath to save his senses. As careless as he was, he only wore a simple shirt with a black coat. His neck was exposed. "H...hey, don't even think of it," Jin said, gasping slowly when he couldn't keep up. The cold air in the room now had little effect on keeping his body from growing warmer. His heart had taken off at a different pace, and he could smell the alpha's musk.
Outside, Heil was restless. He believed in Jin's wittiness, but the situation was dicey. He followed suit when he saw Xander push his way through the crowd.
"We should never have come." Ann was having a meltdown. Jin would be humiliated and possibly molested in public if nothing was done. At this point, Xander had to step in before his brother made a horrible mistake.
"Damn it, Lee Jin! Are you going to let him treat you like this!" Heil yelled as he pushed toward the door, drawing the attention of the captured omega, who was now confused and on the verge of succumbing.
Jin shuddered when Zhen's lips touched his neck, a gust of air crawling at the back of his ear while the alpha sniffed for the perfect spot to mark. The omega finched at the slit sound of the alpha's canines popping out for a kill. And he could feel Knox's grip increase in might as the tip of his fangs found the resting spot...
