Axel and the others were shocked that their lives were miraculously saved at the last moment as the barrier dropped over them.
They looked to the side and saw Iris standing there much to their relief.
"Iris!" Axel yelled.
Jayden and Jun were both a bit taken back that Axel was the first to happily call out to her. They knew that the two of them had grown close in their time tracking down Tetia, but when it comes to Axel they couldn't assume too much.
Iris lowered the barrier and quickly joined them.
"Miss me?" She said to them smugly.
"Of course." Jayden said with his tongue out.
"Good to have you back." Jun said with a smile.
"Took you long enough." Axel joked.
Iris looked across all their faces and felt a warmness in her heart. I wonder if this is what it's like to have something close to a family, she thought.
