As the doors slammed behind Jun and Jayden for the final time, silence overtook them. With no action going on around them it was the first time since reuniting that they were left with a moment of stillness.
Most importantly, it was the first time Jun didn't have Ryo by his side in quite some time. His absence weighed heavily on him as he had become more than just some muscle he convinced to help with his cause. He had become a trusted friend.
"He seemed like a....good guy." Jayden said as he broke the silence.
"Ryo? Yeah, he was. A bit quirky but you could always count on him to have your back. No matter the cost." Jun felt himself choke up a bit on his last words.
"Yeah. I can see that."
