They all bid farewell to Sigmus and stepped into the portal. They truly had no idea what was waiting for them back home - for the portal would take them back to where they initially took off from which was in Crimson City. Where Jun had left the archangel core that would definitely be corrupted by this point. Not even Admin knew what a corrupted core would do, so they would just have to tackle whatever comes their way when they arrive.
One gut wrenching trip later, they found themselves back in the middle of Crimson City. Except this time there wasn't the body of a Beast of Apocalypse.
Everyone clutched onto their weapons as they scanned the area - but there was nothing in sight. Axel closed his eyes and tried to feel any form of divine energy. But he came up empty. "Well, guess they didn't send a God after all while we were away."
