Athena's eyes flew wide. She was a Goddess of strategic warfare, and quite frankly, over the course of her life, the number of Gods and Demigods that had fallen to her schemes and carefully laid plans were too numerous to count. But then, that didn't seem to have dull her edge either. In fact, in a direct confrontation, she was a force to reckon with, standing on equal footing with the likes of Ares.
And yet somehow, this War Maiden had parried her spear at such close range. It had to be remembered that a spear and a halberd were both long-range weapons, and of the two, the halberd was most definitely heavier. For anyone to have handled it as though it was a mere knife meant they were an absolute master of their weapon.
