Damian's eyes snapped open, the irises turning dark crimson for a second before reverting back to their original color. With a sigh, a steamy breath escaped his mouth, fogging up the air around his face before it dissipated a second later. Suddenly, he frowned.
It had been extremely vague, but Damian was certain he had felt the presence of several gazes on him, the illusive kind a person would feel when in darkness for a very long time. Except in this case, it was no illusion. The gazes had long gone, and yet, the subtle feeling still remained.
'Where did those gazes come from?' the lad thought.
Alas, unable to find an answer to his own question, the young man chose to abandon it… for now. After all, he was confident that, whoever could check on him that way, was definitely far beyond him in almost everything. Likewise, he had more important matters to attend to at the moment.
