Valerie sat with her back straight, her heart shining from within her chest with a golden light. Just like Damian, she had also formed Formless Runes, and just by virtue of that, the gap that had been between her and Damian had been closed.
Of course, Valerie was certain that in a direct confrontation, she would still be unable to match up against Damian. His abilities were just that broken. But then, though she was weaker, she wasn't that far off either. In fact, she could be considered to be just half a step behind him.
Her assessment had included all of his talents. Had she limited it to their Innate Souls and Constitution alone, then she wasn't any weaker than him.
But Valerie shook her head. Damian was her true Bound Partner now, why would she need to compare herself to him?
