'Hades…'
The same name rang in the minds of everyone present on the battlefield. The Chthonic God haven't descended personally, and yet, the influence of his powers was being manifested. Now, the War Guards not only had the Olympian forces to contend with, they had to fight, knowing that their previous comrades could once again be resurrected — a twisted form of resurrection — with their blades pointed against them.
Realizing this, even without the guidance of their God, the War Guards made a decision, a brutal and painful decision, but it was the only option they could think of.
The blade of an Olympian soldier fell, biting deeply into the back of a War Guard from behind. Shocked and grunting in agony, the War Guards wavered, and this momentary lapse cost him his life. The battle axe of his once sworn brother moved, lopping his head off before he could get a grip of himself.
