Azra stomped into the room Grey was sitting in and asked a simple question.
"Where is my mate?"
Grey didn't even attempt to stand from where he sat and spit a gnawed bone at his feet. Staring at this sorry male that refused to leave the city even after he lost the battle for leadership years ago.
"One of those stupid females? Ha!
It's fitting they would want a useless male like you. Hahaha. Huh, they should already be dead by now though? I told a few males to take them out just a while ago. They have offended me did you think I would let it go?Heh even more so if one was your mate!"
He responded like he was talking to the dirt on the ground but with a sharp toothy grin. Though soon he lost all interest in the matter ,Grey sat on his stone chair and waved them to leave immediately before his good mood changes. They barged in when it was time for his meal of all things. He reached over to grab another chunk of meat.
Azra didn't move letting his words sink in. His mate was killed? Haran was seething with rage. How... But Briars words rang in his ears. 'What about you? What did YOU do?
You watched that male hurt me.'. He did it again didn't he? Not again. Never again.
Grey smirked at the now two males that remained unmoving from his line of sight.
Their spirits seemingly almost broken. It was a hilarious sight to him.
"What are those stupid marks on you both? Flowers? As if you didn't seem useless enough before?" He couldn't contain his laughter when a fist made contact with his scarred over eye.
The force was so great that the chair split completely in half and he flew backwards through it. As he was about to stand up a different fist made contact with his jaw but had much less force behind it.
Haran's wrist was grabbed and he was slung across the room with a thud. All the wind in his lungs was knocked out of him. Briar had endured this while he just watched? Kasia entered his mind when she shoved her small fragile body inbetween them to protect Briar... How could he have been so blind??
"How dare you... Didn't I destroy that arm?!
I don't care how you did it... I'll destroy your heart next if I have to!!!!" Grey's yell made reverberated around the whole room.
Grey was a large beastman, even without transforming. He was much taller and more muscular than anyone else in this beast city.
Each step he took made the ground rumble beneath his feet. He started making his way to a stone bowl across the room intending to dip his claws in it like he had done so long ago.
"Did I say I killed them? No. I lied. I heard you made one of those ugly females your mate"
He scoffed and looked at him with a look of complete victory. Feeling smug he wiped a little blood off his mouth before continuing.
"No. I told some males to drag them to the feral beast lands. They will never come back alive anyway. Or at least not unscarred" he laughed hysterically
Haran's face paled drastically
His mate.... Ferals? That was a fate worse than death...was she so far away already?
Azra rushed and dug his claws into the bears neck just before he made it to the bowl of poison. Blood dripping everywhere and all over himself. But the wound wasn't deep enough to kill him.
Grey laughed and swung at the arm in his throat and a loud crack was heard. Azra flinched heavily
"Hahahahah did I ruin your arm again? Maybe you should have run off looking for that precious female of yours instead of fighting me?" Grey yelled triumphantly
But Azra didn't give up and dug his other hand into the same wound. Almost enough...
Haran transformed into a wolf and bit at Grey's neck as well. But this only made him more angry. So he took his arms and shoved at the two beasts attacking him while standing up. They were flying across the room once again but blood was pouring everywhere from his throat. He quickly threw his hands over the wounds.
Suddenly his body started slumping to the floor. He was ruler no longer. It was over.
Azra and Haran had won this battle.
But before either one of them could attack again. Some loyal beasts took grey and picked him up and growled. The growls were done warningly at them to let them leave or else they would attack.
There must have been at least 10 of them that came at the sound their leaders war cries. They knew painfully well that he didn't accept help no matter what. So they stood and watched but they wouldn't let him just die.
Azra and Haran couldn't care less at this point. They needed to find their mates. So they decided to go to the land that was occupied by the ferals and try to find their females.

Kasia and Briar were enjoying their chat together but it was strange that neither of the men came back yet. Kasia decided to Walk outside because it was starting to get dark. She would try to go look for them.
Briar wanted to follow along so they both started walking around the city looking for them. Only what they came across was some angry looking beasts that had a hint of recognition in their faces. The beasts walked over and tried to start a conversation but it felt like something was just wrong so they turned around and tried to go back to the healing house.
That's when the beast grabbed at Briar but Kasia noticed and managed to get in between them. She ended up getting grabbed instead and this beast wouldn't let go. Kasia immediately looked at her sister and told her to run the healing house now.
Briar contemplated if she should leave her sister, but she knew Kasia was a lot stronger than her and turned to run. It was the look in her sister's eyes that made her listen.
The moment they saw Briar disappear they froze. How did she disappear in that cave ?There's nothing in there. A beast they called Dave told them to stand watch on the outside of the cave just in case she came back out.
Kasia screamed at the top of her lungs
"Don't come out unless you see one of us!!! No matter what!" The beast holding her hit the back of her head and caused her to black out.

Azra and Haran felt their mate marks for a short while. Haran was the first one to have his mark disappear again. But Azra kept feeling it. They looked at one another and realized that they were alive at least.
They had just step foot into the ferals territory
When they could sense their mates back in the direction they just came from, but before they could turn back , in the cover of darkness they could sense many eyes on them.
This wouldn't be an easy walk back to the city. They would have to fight their way back. Azra with his shattered arm and haran with his bruised chest. This would be difficult.
After a long battle. They were both covered in gashes and cuts, neither of them were looking like they could last much longer but they won. But it was then that they noticed a beast was looking at them from the treetops. There was no malice but it was staring at them.
As the two beasts attempt to retreat they could feel eyes on them but it never tried to chase them.
