Chapter 1 - Prologue: A World to behold.

It was chaos. The tides closed in heavy, the sound of water flooded the little hatchling's ears in the egg, and the waves came, and went in and out, in and out. 'Mhhff' The hatchling muffled in the egg as the waves came closer and closer, the egg sat neatly in the sand half emerged.

The egg was small but beautiful, it had shiny yellow/ blue scales and glittered in the sunlight, and through the water, again the waves came as the tide drew closer to the bay, and the sand became non-existent when the ocean hit.

Suddenly, a large wave came in, and the tides that drew created a large wave heading for the island, the little egg sat at the beach helpless, different wyverns had different abilities, but no one knew about this egg, abandoned on the shore most left it alone but this particular night the ocean was its 'enemy' as the water came near.

'Mhmh, ahh' It puffed, by now it knew the water was close, and the egg's doomed scales glittered endlessly underneath the shining moon. The egg slowly moved back and forth, back and forth, its movement increased as it managed to move on the side, and wet sand sunk the egg as it fought to be free from the wave. It continued, 'Rahhh' It cutely roared as it struggled, back and forth it rolled, by now it was half up. A small crack formed on the top, the creature used it to its advantaged and pecked at the opening, a little piece of shell came out, and its layer was gone.

The water finally came, the gushing water flowed through hitting the sides, the large wave created a gap in between the egg, the water ran through both ways without a splash on the small egg, such sight impossible, there were no banks and it headed straight towards the wyvern but missed. 'Rahh!' The egg pecked again and again, even the splashes from the blast didn't hit the egg, it was like a forcefield was created, large walls of dirt and grass were behind, the water smashing through creating such heights to make an adult wyvern tumble, but the egg stayed somehow safe.

It mumbled through its shell trying to break free, the gap became larger and larger as the wyvern struck again, and the shell opened up even more with a small foot released from its 'cage' opening up its talons carefully and continued, pecking, peck, peck, its foot helped from the outside as its talons, as sharp as a dagger hit the gap again and again. Soon enough, the whole top of the shell busted open, and the small wyvern yawned as it spread its large wings comfortably, it was finally free and now it will face the world.

Its wings were larger than its whole body almost reaching meters high as it shined light blue/ grey-ish scales with bright dangerous yellow eyes that shined curiosity as it looked around. It stepped out of the rest of its shell stumbling over into the sand, it shook its head and blinked, sand covered its snout and its underbelly.

The wyvern had small curved white/grey horns that almost looked like stubs with a small horn on its snout that only looked like a spec, its underbelly shined white sparkles with the colour reaching its bottom jaw and had small unique white patches around its eyes making its yellow eyes more prominent as it gazed upon the night sky with the patches reaching his jaw. 'Mmh' it muttered as it looked across, it stared at a long grey mysterious object, it was heavy and ended with two blue identical fins on each side and it had a triangular stub that stretched far.

The wyvern hissed as it stepped back afraid, the long object followed, 'RAHHHH!' It cried staggered, the mysteriousness followed right behind going as fast as the little hatchling, the wyvern stopped and looked closer at the grey object, it followed up the grey than a blue scaled object, the object became bigger and bigger, and it realised, the wyvern was attached to it! The object was its tail.

The hatchling tilted its head as it curiously moved, and the tail followed behind. It shone as much as its body did, but it had more of an undertone of colours, the wyvern still weary, it kept a close eye on it behind almost looking back at it each time it walked a few steps.

It stretched its wings again; it relaxed its body lying on the ground, the sand annoyed the little hatchling but for now, it didn't matter, the hatchling circled itself multiple times and even tried to breathe steam-like fire but all that came out was a bit of steam with little grey smoke.

The wyvern huffed at its defeat and looked at the ground making a large yawn and opening its mouth, small sharp teeth showed with a very light pink tongue then it dug its snout into the ground for warmth and curled its body, its tail stayed behind still straight and far as it could, with the wyvern still not 'trusting' its tail yet and rolled over.

Its wings spread out on the ground showcasing its soft underbelly, it stared up to the sky and smiled at the night showing the pretty stars above.

The water eased as it settled on the bank, its waves went unnoticed as it hit the sand, and the water gave off some foam as it also settles for the night with the little wyvern. With the now relaxing sounds of the rushing water peacefully near the hatchling, it shall rest till it is awoken from its slumber until then. A wyvern was born, under the stars and near the ocean with the help of the sand it shall fulfil its duty...the duty of a water wyvern.
