In an obscured realm with glowing overtones of resplendent arrays of gothic lights, three figures were levitating, defying the power of gravity...
A meeting that would determine the fate of their worlds was taking place.
The figures gathered here were just mere projections of their actual selves, as their real beings were in their respective worlds, having the arduous tasks of the Planetary Wills they were, resting on their shoulders..
One of the figures spoke with a raspy masculine voice, a predominant sigh escaping his lips ''It seems we will not be a match for the Gatherers this time...''
The others did not rebut his statement, a testament that his statement was not a mere conjecture, but a fact..
As silence prevailed in the gathering and the heaviness of their reality hung upon them like a sword of Damocles, one of the figures broke the silence with her charming feminine voice ''The project seemed to have yielded a result in my world though''
Her statement caused the other two figures to slightly assume dispositions of shock as the one who was yet to speak, bellowed in masculine exasperation ''Are you sure the project has succeeded ?... ''
''Do you really think I would crack satirical jokes in a time as serious as this?.... I am well aware that ever since we launched the project, non of our worlds have managed to produce any one with the potential to completely transcend their human, elven and dwarven limitations respectively, and the highest level that has been assumed by the awakened in each of our worlds are S rank hunters... However, there is currently someone in my world who seems to hold the potential to completely transcend his human limitations ... The puny humans have quantified that he has an SSS rank potential, which is their way of saying that he has a potential for growth that transcends that of becoming an S and SS ranker ... However as the Planetary Will who holds a strong connection to all the beings of my world, I know that he holds limitless potential for growth that will aid him to completely transcend his human limitations... With time, he might become the one to lead our worlds against the charge of the Gatherers...'' The feminine Planetary Will of the human world asserted more seriously, causing any unnerving doubts arising from the Planetary Wills of the Elven and Dwarven worlds to vanish..
''This is indeed good for us all... Then, don't you think it's about time he knows about The Gatherers and the responsibility that comes with his limitless potential?... After all, we embarked on the project of creating the awakened on each of the three worlds as a last resort to create beings with the potential to completely transcend their racial limitations and lead their worlds against the threat of The Gatherers... It is quite unfortunate that after centuries of beginning this project, we have now managed to produce a single person with the potential for growth to pose a threat to The Gatherers... I walked out of the forest with a calm smile as the morning glow of the firmament bathed my form.
I thought about the unexpected happenings that resulted from my venturing into the diabolic beast zone... I had ventured and come out of the diabolic beast zone... at the expense of almost losing my life, but not without reaping some rewards...
I had managed to break through to C rank, obtained a new affinity and skill, and completed the mission of the awakening center by killing the E rank diabolic cheetahs, although the diabolic cheetahs just had a natural physique that enhanced their speed and they did not have any affinities, therefore I was not able to copy any affinities from them ...
However, I also now had another goal that motivated me to grow stronger... The Slyrax Guild... I would crush them one day...
I had also made... a friend... This was quite unexpected... as she turned out to be the benefactor who saved my life a few months ago...and she also turned out to be the daughter of the Sword Blade, Philip James...
''What a hectic turn of events'' I sighed in amusement...
''Crap''... I bellowed.. as I realized that various areas of my clothes were currently scorched... with holes revealing some parts of my skin...
I had forgotten that the clothes I wore were only immune to the harm of coming into contact with my affinities when I was at the E rank.. However after breaking through to a higher rank, the usage of my affinities would naturally inflict damage on my clothes and shoes...I sighed, then quickly had a change of clothes and boots from my dimensional bracelet.
With the clothes and boots issue out of the way, I proceeded back towards the city without using my affinities, afraid that my clothes would become a mess again...
''I need to fix this clothes issue as soon as possible before the wilderness survival assessment practical test begins next week... I cannot be roaming around unclothed in case I am to go all out with my affinities'' I sighed...
The military personnel who had greeted me the previous day exchanged some slight conversations with me , then I ventured into the city. I ordered a hover vehicle, paid the necessary amount of credits and sat in the comfy seat at the back of the vehicle.
The AI voice of the vehicle rung in my ear ...[Where to, sir?]
''The awakening center of Oslon City Academy '' I replied, as I reminisced about how just recently I was too broke to afford ordering a hover vehicle and therefore, I had to trek to the academy on foot everyday with a hungry stomach...
However, life had changed for me in just a few days...
I wondered in amazement at the extremely high skyscrapers above me even at the now high altitude of the hover vehicle as the cool winds brushed past my face...
The hover vehicle sped past holographic commercials and other hover vehicles full of people..
Soon, the academy came into view...
A few minutes later, I stepped out of the vehicle hovering slightly above the academy ground and headed towards the awakening center..
I had completed my E rank mission.... It was time to report to the awakening center for my rewards and also do something very important... that was to officially register myself as C ranker...
I knew this news would make waves again... as the speed of my growth was very quick...however, I did not care...There was no point in hiding my growth potential in a world where strength was more valuable than anything....
