-------------------------------------------------------------

Hearing the familiar voice in his ear, the beast-like expression on Zetsu's face froze, and his amber eyes widened suddenly.

In his vision, the scenes before him abruptly changed.

The forest was still the same, with no noticeable change in the surroundings. However, the corpse of Aizen, who had been brutally killed by Shino earlier, had vanished.

At that moment, the once emotionless Shino, who was clutching Zetsu's fist, slowly transformed into Aizen.

Aizen wore a slight smile at the corner of his mouth, his eyes flashing with an unusual light as he looked at the stunned Zetsu and chuckled softly.

"Zetsu, do you think now, in Madara's eyes, I am considered dead?"

Zetsu, still shaken by the realistic sensation from earlier, hastily questioned, "Aizen-sama, but you were clearly... How could..."

"Was that an illusion!?"

Seeing Zetsu's anxious expression, Aizen smiled faintly and shook his head gently.

"It was simply the power of my Kyoka Suigetsu, not some mere illusion."

Hearing this, Zetsu murmured, "Kyoka Suigetsu..."

In response, Aizen chuckled softly.

Shing!

He slowly drew his jade-green sword, Kyoka Suigetsu, from his waist. His deep eyes regarded the blade as he smiled softly.

"Yes, Kyoka Suigetsu is the name of this sword, and it is also one of my abilities. Anyone who witnesses its release will forever be under my control, unable to escape. From a certain perspective, this blade is quite willful." As he said this, he flicked the blade lightly.

Under his slender, pale fingers, Kyoka Suigetsu emitted a soft, clear resonance, sounding like a gentle stream in the silence of the forest.

Aizen glanced at the sword with a hidden tenderness in his eyes. With a smile still on his face, he slowly sheathed it.

Meanwhile, Zetsu stood there, dumbfounded, staring at Aizen, still reeling from the revelation.

'To be able to control someone's five senses permanently... So this is Aizen-sama's true power!?'

Zetsu swallowed nervously and spoke softly, "With such an ability, it's no wonder that anyone who opposes you, Aizen-sama, would likely meet their downfall."

Aizen chuckled and said, "Don't underestimate yourself, Zetsu. You possess potential that others do not. That is why I sought you out. Did you notice the changes in your body earlier? Follow your instincts and explore that power. In time, you will be grateful for everything that happened today."

Zetsu's body trembled slightly. He looked down at his hands.

Recalling the terrifying strength that surged through him earlier, his heart trembled.

'As Aizen-sama said... Do I also have the potential to become strong and control my own destiny?'

With that thought, he looked at Aizen, bowed his head, and knelt on one knee, respectfully saying, "Thank you for your blessing, Aizen-sama."

Aizen's smile never faded, but a glimmer of brilliance flashed in his eyes.

The wild, brutal power hidden within Zetsu's body... It seems my hypothesis was correct.

"Zetsu, what do you think will happen if people believe I'm dead?"

Aizen suddenly asked.

Understanding that Aizen was referring to the fake death created by Kyoka Suigetsu, Zetsu nodded.

"If that's the case, no one will be able to see through your plan."

However, his brows furrowed slightly in confusion. "But are you planning to let Uchiha Shino handle this? Although he is under your command, he has often spoken against you."

Cautiously observing Aizen's expression, Zetsu continued softly, "If Shino is the one to do it, I fear that your plan might be exposed to Madara, potentially alerting him. After all, Shino has always followed Madara's orders faithfully."

Aizen merely smiled, a glint of light flashing in his eyes as he replied, "You're mistaken, Zetsu. Shino is a stubborn person. His true thoughts are never as straightforward as they appear. Precisely because he follows Madara's orders so closely, I can confirm his real intentions. Isn't it interesting? Someone so proud and stubborn has such an obvious weakness."

A smirk curled at Aizen's lips as he said this.

Zetsu trembled, recalling Shino's fierce reaction from before. He suddenly understood.

That obvious weakness... Is he referring to Uchiha Shino's sister?

Looking at Aizen, who now wore a faint smile, as if everything was under his control, Zetsu couldn't help but feel a deep sense of awe.

Compared to his terrifying abilities, it's likely that Aizen-sama's most fearsome trait is his strategic brilliance, the way he holds everything in the palm of his hand.

White mist swirled around, making it nearly impossible to see a few meters ahead.

On this fog-covered island stood a desolate village.

In the center of the village, within a tall building piercing through the mist, a conversation was taking place.

"Fuguki, what do you think about getting involved in the mainland war at this time?"

In the dim office, a middle-aged man's low voice echoed from the chair.

Below him, a few people knelt. The questioned Fuguki Suikazan raised his head sharply, baring a mouthful of sharp teeth in a grin.

"Heh, staying on this island all the time gets boring. Taking on some mainland ninjas sounds like a good change of pace. Whatever you order, Mizukage-sama."

Hearing this, the people next to him frowned slightly, clearly displeased with Fuguki.

"Mizukage-sama, all four great ninja villages are involved in this war. For Kirigakure, it's best to remain patient. After the war, we can strike when the other villages are exhausted, expanding the Land of Water's territory beyond this island."

The speaker was a young man with fiery red hair, tied in a fierce style. He had a rebellious air about him.

Fuguki glared at him and growled, "Ringo, you're being too cautious!"

"And you're being too reckless, Fuguki!"

The two immediately began arguing. The middle-aged man in the chair remained indifferent, turning his gaze toward a quiet young man kneeling on the ground. He asked gravely, "What do you think, Yagura?"

As the Mizukage spoke, the others fell silent.

A boy with red eyes and a scar on his cheek slowly raised his head, calmly looking at the Third Mizukage shrouded in darkness. He spoke softly, "I don't think our opinions matter, Mizukage-sama, because you've already made your decision."

His words left the others stunned.

The Mizukage remained silent for a moment before saying, "Prepare yourselves. Three days from now, we attack Konoha!"
