-------------------------------------------------------------

The warm sunlight shone on the lush trees, bringing infinite vitality.

A gentle warm breeze lightly brushed the treetops, and the leaves swayed gently, making a soft "swoosh" sound as if celebrating this joy.

At this moment, a figure resembling a pitcher plant was quietly standing on the huge tree trunk.

Beneath the plant-like pitcher plant exterior was a completely white body. He was quietly gazing at the green leaves under the sunlight with a pair of red-yellow eyes.

There was an indescribable expression in those strange eyes.

As he immersed himself in his thoughts, a magnetic voice suddenly echoed in the scene.

"Zetsu, I can feel your confusion."

Upon hearing this voice, White Zetsu's body trembled slightly, pulling himself out of his strange mood. He slowly turned around, spreading his hands with a slight, awkward smile and softly replied, "Lord Aizen, you're overthinking. Someone like me has no right to think about such things."

"Whoosh—"

A light breeze blew, and from the shadows of the tree trunk, a tall figure slowly emerged.

Aizen had a faint smile at the corner of his mouth, with deep eyes flickering with an unreadable brilliance. He chuckled softly, "Right to think?"

"Are you questioning your own existence, Zetsu?"

White Zetsu fell silent upon hearing Aizen's words. He turned his head to the side, seemingly unwilling to reveal his expression at the moment, his eyes filled with confusion as he gazed at the leaves on the branch.

"Even these trees grew step by step from seeds, yearning for sunlight and flourishing. But as for me... I don't even know what I was born from. Why do I exist in this form? What meaning is there in my existence?"

His eyes lowered slightly, the red-yellow pupils carrying an indescribable pain.

Aizen, however, did not immediately respond to his words. Instead, he followed Zetsu's gaze to the green leaves on the branch, a complex expression flashing across his face.

He gently walked over, reached out, and plucked a leaf.

Curious about his actions, Zetsu, who had been feeling inexplicably sad, couldn't help but say softly, "Lord Aizen, you..."

Aizen waved his hand lightly, interrupting Zetsu. In his palm lay a fresh green leaf, and the next moment, the leaf crumbled into dust and scattered into the air.

Confused and thinking he had angered Aizen, Zetsu's face tensed with anxiety.

However, Aizen's next words made him freeze slightly.

"Trees... they are nothing more than lowly beings."

Aizen casually let the dust fall from his hand, his eyes calm as he gazed at Zetsu, speaking softly, "They may follow their instincts to grow and reproduce, but they will never have the value of true growth. But you are different, Zetsu. Clinging to your origin is foolish."

Zetsu paused, not knowing what to say.

Aizen looked at him calmly and said softly, "In the beginning, this world had no truth, nor lies, only the undeniable facts of existence. But everything that exists in this world mistakes beneficial 'facts' as truth to survive. Because without doing so, there would be no reason to live."

At this point, Aizen's eyes flashed with a gleam, and his voice suddenly deepened.

"But in reality, for the powerless beings who fill most of this world, the 'facts' that do not affirm their existence are the only real truth. Zetsu, are you looking at this world through the eyes of the weak?"

Zetsu's face changed at Aizen's words, murmuring, "Lord Aizen..."

Aizen's smile had long vanished, and he gazed down at him expressionlessly, speaking in a deep voice.

"You have unimaginable potential, Zetsu. You could be the originator of a new era. With such a destiny, why search for something meaningless?"

"Do you think finding such a thing will give you the so-called peace of mind?"

Hearing Aizen's words, Zetsu's body trembled. He knelt heavily before Aizen, his voice filled with guilt.

"I... I'm sorry, Lord Aizen..."

"Tap, tap, tap."

With the soft sound of footsteps, Zetsu, kneeling with his head down, saw Aizen approach him.

Aizen stood straight in front of him, gazing down at him with a cold and indifferent look, his voice emotionless.

"My subordinates do not show themselves as weaklings, Zetsu. The wide door to the future has already opened for you. But you must decide if you're ready to embrace this honor, to live as the originator of a new era."

Hearing Aizen's words, the confusion on Zetsu's face gave way to determination, and he spoke in a firm voice.

"Thank you, Lord Aizen. I understand your words now, and I am ready. I am willing to become the originator of a new era."

Aizen calmly looked at Zetsu's resolute expression and suddenly smiled slightly, speaking softly.

"Good. If you had doubted yourself here, I would have questioned whether you were truly worthy of the honor I've given you. But it seems you are, Zetsu."

He patted Zetsu's shoulder gently, smiling.

"Follow me. I'm also curious to know what that elder thinks now."

With that, Aizen walked forward.

Zetsu, still kneeling, turned his head to watch Aizen's figure, a gentle emotion flickering in his red-yellow pupils. He thought to himself.

"Thank you, Lord Aizen, I've found the meaning of my existence."

Watching Aizen's radiant figure bathed in the warm sunlight, Zetsu thought.

"Following in your footsteps, growing stronger for you, until I can stand against the world... that is the meaning of my existence. Of this, I am certain."

Just then, Aizen slowly turned his head and frowned slightly, asking curiously.

"Zetsu?"

Hearing his words, Zetsu smiled softly, as if liberated from his confusion, and replied lightly.

"I'm coming, Lord Aizen."

With that, he stood up quickly and followed after Aizen.

The two slowly disappeared from the scene.

The warm sunlight continued to shine gently on the tree trunks.

"Swoosh!"

A green leaf gently drifted down, landing softly on the tree trunk they had passed.

But how long will this tender green last? A day? Two days?

When vast vitality brings no value, it's nothing more than a waste.
