"Boom! Crash!"

Huge boulders kept falling from the sky, turning the entire cliff into a massive pile of rubble.

The dust from the explosion almost buried the surrounding trees. The once lush forest now seemed to be covered in a layer of gray, appearing dull and lifeless.

"Bang!"

Dai's figure suddenly slammed into the ground, creating a deep crater.

"Whoo—"

He exhaled deeply, like a whale spouting water in the ocean. The powerful gust caused the surrounding trees to tremble violently.

The thick green chakra that had been covering his body slowly dissipated into the air, like a flame burning out.

"Thud!"

The next moment, he suddenly collapsed forward onto the ground.

"I... finally mastered it... Sōsuke... this time... I won't let you continue down the wrong path."

Lying on the ground, his face covered in dirt, his lips moved slightly as he murmured softly.

At this moment, Dai no longer had the fierce expression he wore when he opened the Eight Gates. His entire being was weakened to the extreme, as if all his strength had been drained.

Just then—

"Whoosh!"

With a soft sound, a figure quickly rushed toward him from a distance.

"Plop!"

The figure landed on the ground, looking worriedly at the fallen Dai, and spoke in a deep voice.

"Dai, are you alright?"

Hearing the voice, Dai struggled to open one eye with all his remaining strength. His half-closed eyelids barely made out the figure before him. A faint bitter smile appeared on his lips as he spoke in a trembling voice.

"Sakumo... why are you here..."

Sakumo, initially shocked by Dai's display of power, fell silent for a moment before suddenly speaking.

"There's something off about Kikuno. It seems she doesn't want me to know about some recent events in the village. To avoid worrying her, I came to find you."

Hearing Sakumo's words, Dai let out a bitter laugh and spoke softly.

"Didn't you give up being a ninja? Don't worry, the war Konoha is about to face has nothing to do with you anymore."

Sakumo remained silent, his eyes downcast, before suddenly speaking.

"It's him, isn't it?"

Dai's body trembled slightly at Sakumo's words, an awkward smile appearing on his face as he replied.

"What are you talking about? How could he possibly..."

However, Sakumo, still staring at the ground, interrupted him.

"Dai, you're really not suited to be a ninja... because it's hard for your face to hide your true thoughts. Tell me... Sōsuke... he's back, isn't he?"

Hearing this, Dai's awkward smile slowly faded. He looked at Sakumo with a complicated expression and spoke softly.

"Knowing this won't bring any peace to your life. That's why Kikuno didn't want to tell you. You should let it go... after all, you already have Kakashi, what more could you..."

Before Dai could finish, Sakumo interrupted him, suddenly raising his head, his fists clenched tightly.

His once calm eyes were now filled with suppressed hatred as he growled...

"How could I possibly give up!!"

His eyes were slightly bloodshot as he spoke in a deep voice.

"My companions, my teammates carry this hatred—how could I let go of this opportunity!!"

Hearing Sakumo's words, Dai fell silent for a moment and softly replied.

"You can't defeat Sōsuke, you should know how powerful he is. If you face him, there's no doubt that you'll die."

At this moment, Sakumo calmed down. Although he was still breathing heavily, he no longer shouted at Dai.

He slowly turned around and silently walked away.

Seeing this, Dai's expression changed slightly, and he urgently asked.

"What are you planning to do!?"

Hearing Dai's voice from behind, Sakumo's body paused slightly. Without turning around, he spoke in a voice that was suppressed but calm.

"I will return to the upcoming war. I need to settle things with that guy once and for all!"

After speaking, he slightly turned his head and softly said.

"These past years, you weren't the only one making efforts. Even though I gave up my identity as a ninja, I never forgot this hatred for a single day. It's been the driving force pushing me forward."

With that, he turned and left without looking back.

At this point, Dai was too weak to get up and could only watch Sakumo leave. He lay on the ground, sighed softly, and looked up at the blue sky and white clouds above. Even someone as thick-skinned as him couldn't help but let out a sigh.

As time passed, it seemed that everything had changed, yet this leisurely scenery remained as beautiful and flawless as it was in the eyes of the young boys yesterday.

However, those who once looked up at this sky now seem to have gone down different paths, and their lives intersect less and less.

"Sigh."

Thinking about this, Dai couldn't help but let out a deep sigh before closing his eyes in exhaustion.

In his sleep, he seemed to see that once brilliant and dazzling boy again, like the sun, smiling as he extended his hand.

"You're Might Dai from the other class, right? Nice to meet you."

"The so-called rules exist for those who can't live without them, Dai. Do you believe in the power of your taijutsu? If you do, why would you need such proof as a ninja?"

"Dai, watch closely... As long as you're strong enough, even just with taijutsu, you can have your own sky."

In his sleep, Dai's eyes were slightly wet for some reason, and he mumbled softly.

"I've already found my sky... But you, Sōsuke... What will you do now that you've chosen to oppose the ninja world?"

In a quiet forest, a strange group was stationed.

"Aizen-sama, it's getting dark. Let's rest here for a while."

A young man with a blank expression in the group respectfully addressed Aizen, who was standing in the center.

Hearing his words, Aizen smiled lightly and said softly.

"Let's do as you suggest, Ulquiorra."

After speaking, he looked at a young man with pale eyes beside him and said warmly.

"Saki, inform Nawaki and the others that we'll rest here for a while. After all, the war hasn't started yet."

As soon as he finished speaking, Saki suddenly disappeared from the spot.

At this point, only Ulquiorra, Aizen, and Sasori, who had switched to a puppet lying on the ground, were left in the scene.

All of them were quiet by nature, so there was no conversation.

At this moment, Sasori, who was as tall and burly as a giant tortoise, looked at Aizen and asked in a hoarse voice.

"Aizen-sama, in the upcoming war, you will be exposed to the entire ninja world. Facing enemies from the entire ninja world, aren't you worried at all?"

For Sasori, this was a rare long sentence.

Hearing his words, Aizen's lips curled slightly, and he chuckled.

"Worried? Since the birth of human civilization, all miracles have been attributed to the works of gods."

Hearing Aizen's words, Sasori was slightly stunned, not understanding the connection to his question.

Aizen ignored this and continued to laugh softly.

"However, humans are strange creatures. They fear the unknown and indulge in the comfort of the present."

"What we are about to do is feared by the entire ninja world not because we intend to destroy it, but because they fear the impact the unknown era will have on them."

"However, history has always evolved through continuous destruction. Not only that, but those myths are the same."

"When people face beings far beyond themselves, they always come up with some explanation to deceive their hearts. It's a curious behavior."

"If a being possesses only a power they can imagine, people will see it as an enemy."

"But if a being possesses a power beyond their imagination..."

"All creatures tend to trust something superior to themselves. In this way, the trusted being seeks to escape the heavy burden by pursuing an even higher existence, and the higher existence seeks a stronger being worthy of trust."

"In this way, all kings are born."

"In this way, all gods are born."

At this point, Aizen's eyes sparkled with strange light as he smiled and said softly.

"Sasori, do you think I should have such unnecessary worries?"

Hearing these words, Sasori remained silent.

Aizen smiled and said softly.

"In the new era, perhaps future generations will define this war as the 'War of Gods.' Because my power will make them understand..."

"How gods control the throne of the sky."

Hearing his words, Sasori and Ulquiorra both bowed their heads respectfully.
