"Ssssss."

The terrifying sound of vaporizing liquid echoed violently in the area, mingled with the faint, barely audible screams of the Iwa-nin.

At the center of the explosion of green droplets, an extremely horrifying scene unfolded before everyone's eyes.

The once massive and solid rocks were now full of pockmarks and craters, continuously emitting thick white and greenish-blue smoke, as if they had been boiled and corroded by some substance.

If one looked closely, they would notice that the Iwa-nin who were originally in that location had completely vanished.

In the terrifying explosion just now, that seemingly dazzling green droplet had contracted instantly and then rapidly expanded, transforming into a terrifying green curtain that filled the air.

A cyan-green gas shot out rapidly in all directions, quickly engulfing the Iwa-nin standing there.

What followed was a horrifying scene.

The bodies of the Iwa-nin, covered by the cyan-green gas, seemed to be corroded by something terrifying! Some of them didn't even have time to scream before their flesh rapidly melted away, their grotesque faces mixed with bloody pus quickly turning into a pool of murky red liquid.

Even then, the remaining blood continued its horrifying corrosion, slowly seeping into the massive rocks below.

Some Iwa-nin who were far from the site of the explosion survived by luck, but they all looked at the scene with pale faces.

At that moment, they forgot about running away, even their breathing momentarily ceased.

Facing Aizen, who had wiped out nearly all of them with just one casual attack, they were unsure if anything they did could even make a difference in front of this man.

"Why... why did you... do this?"

At this time, Nanli, who had been standing beside Aizen, trembled violently. With a thud, his legs gave out, and he collapsed to the ground.

His eyes seemed void of spirit as he stared at the place where the Iwa-nin had died. His lips moved as he muttered, his face deathly pale.

Hearing his words, Aizen, satisfied, withdrew his hand with a faint smile and said with a light laugh, "Didn't I explain earlier? Because you interrupted my fun."

At Aizen's slightly indifferent words, Nanli's face suddenly flushed red. He clenched his fist tightly, veins bulging, his expression contorted with rage, and his voice was hoarse and low as he said, "Aren't you in a partnership with the Tsuchikage? How could you do such a thing to the Iwa-nin!?"

Aizen paid no attention to Nanli's outburst. He simply looked at the corroded area where the Iwa-nin had died with interest, his gaze slightly tilted as he glanced at Nanli and laughed softly, "A partnership?"

"I think you misunderstood. The player and the pawn do not collaborate because they exist on different levels. Although I appreciate Onoki's trust... trust is one of the cheapest things, isn't it?"

"And even if you all die here, I don't think it will hinder Onoki from cooperating and completing the plan I've set for him."

"Rest assured, your deaths are not meaningless. As relics of an old era, you've served your purpose by helping me verify the power of the Boiling Amber."

At this point, a smile appeared on Aizen's lips, though it was mixed with deep indifference and cruelty.

Beside him, Nanli stood frozen, terror etched on his face after hearing Aizen's words.

Could it be that all of this man's actions were aimed at making Iwagakure serve his plan? If that's the case... then both Lord Tsuchikage and Iwagakure are likely in great danger right now.

No... I must survive... I have to go back and warn Lord Tsuchikage about his plot!!

However, just as this thought crossed Nanli's mind and he was about to make a move...

"Squelch!"

A tail, like a scorpion's stinger, suddenly shot out from behind him and, taking advantage of his momentary distraction, pierced through his heart!

"Y-you... glug... glug..."

The rest of Nanli's words were swallowed as black, foul-smelling blood spilled from the corner of his mouth.

His eyes widened, staring in disbelief at the scorpion that had attacked him from behind.

In his gradually blurring vision, Sasori's young, expressionless face came into view. With a slight flick of his fingers, the flexible, long scorpion tail made of some unknown bones swiftly retracted behind him. He coldly remarked, "This weapon is quite good. Finally, I can keep my clothes clean..."

As Sasori's indifferent voice echoed, the life in Nanli's eyes slowly faded. Yet, with his last bit of consciousness, he murmured in his mind.

Are these the enemies that Iwagakure will face in the future... what a terrifying group...

Aizen looked calmly at Nanli as he slowly collapsed to the ground, his wide-open eyes filled with the unwillingness to accept death. Aizen spoke in a flat tone, "Another pitiful fool shackled by the dogma of the shinobi world... truly a sad existence."

With that, he glanced at Saki and Sasori, who were respectfully standing beside him, and said softly, "Finish off the remaining ones. Onoki is too slow. This way, he won't be able to dawdle in deciding how to start the war."

Upon hearing Aizen's words, Saki and Sasori nodded slightly, then looked at the surviving Iwa-nin. A cruel gleam flickered in their calm eyes.

On the distant mountainside, the Iwa-nin who had been watching in horror as their comrades and captain were killed began trembling violently when they saw the enemy's gaze shift towards them.

"Ahhh—"

Terrified screams echoed across the mountainside, but Aizen simply stood there quietly, gazing in the direction where Jiraiya and the others had fled, a glint of light occasionally flashing in his eyes.

After a while.

"Swish!" "Swish!"

Saki, covered in blood, and Sasori, whose attire remained pristine, returned to Aizen's side.

"Aizen-sama, all the Iwa-nin here have been dealt with. No one should have escaped."

Saki respectfully reported while standing next to Aizen.

Hearing this, Aizen's lips curled into a slight smile as he softly said, "Very good. We should depart as well. After all, without the cleansing of this war, some antique-like beings won't easily reveal their true colors."

Upon hearing Aizen's words, Saki nodded respectfully, but his expression showed some hesitation. After a moment, he asked in a low voice, "Aizen-sama, why did you let Jiraiya and the others return? Now, your whereabouts are exposed to Konoha."

Aizen's eyes flickered as he looked at Saki, his lips curling into a smile as he said softly, "The war has already begun. Konoha, Iwa, and Suna can no longer halt the war at this stage. Moreover, with Kumogakure's involvement, the situation will become even more chaotic."

"So, even if my identity is exposed to Konoha now, it doesn't matter."

Aizen's eyes gleamed with a trace of amusement as he laughed softly, "Because, even if they know that I'm the one who instigated this war, they'll still have to continue... to appease those who seek to gain something from this war... That is human nature."
