Hearing Aizen's words, Saki was slightly taken aback. His gaze shifted to the kneeling Shohei but he said nothing, merely following Aizen's footsteps closely.

As Aizen walked, the three terrifyingly powerful figures who had appeared like demons followed him, ignoring the fearful glances from everyone present.

In the distance, Naimu and the Cloud ninjas behind him wore extremely grim expressions. Clearly, they had recognized who Aizen was.

This was someone Konoha had particularly highlighted as the most dangerous on their S-class wanted list provided to them before their mission involving the Hyuga clan ninjas.

The former Fourth Hokage of Konoha—Sōsuke

Note: If encountered, regardless of the mission, retreat immediately. Do not appear within this individual's sight.

Recalling the details from the intelligence report, Naimu's mouth showed a bitter smile.

Who would have thought this guy would appear in such a manner? If he had known earlier that the initial three were his subordinates, he would never have chosen to stay here with Shohei.

Instead, he would have fled as far away as possible!

As if telepathically connected, Aizen, walking towards Shohei, seemed to think of something. His smiling eyes glanced lightly at Naimu and the distant.

With a faint smile, he said softly, "I almost forgot about your presence. If you could, please wait where you are for a moment. Of course, you can also choose to leave."

At this, his eyes narrowed slightly, his voice light yet tinged with cold indifference, "But you'll have to bear the consequences yourselves."

Finished speaking, he continued towards Shohei.

Upon hearing Aizen's words, both Naimu and his Cloud ninjas, as well as Nanli and his young Rock ninjas, trembled slightly.

At the moment Aizen's voice fell, the two groups of ninjas almost stopped breathing, standing in place without daring to move.

After all, this person's power was on par with the leaders of the villages, and some even believed he had surpassed the current Five Kage.

Facing such a figure, it was hard to muster any thoughts of resistance.

Aizen didn't care about the ninjas' thoughts. It was just that the behavior of the Hyuga ninja sparked a sudden idea in his mind, an off-script episode, so to speak.

"Tap, tap, tap."

The soft sound of footsteps gradually echoed in front of Shohei. Kneeling on the ground, he was unaware of the current situation, lost in painful memories of the past.

Unlike Saki, who had harbored deep resentment towards the entire Hyuga clan due to his father's death and coldly observed its darkest and ugliest moments, Shohei personally experienced the injustices of the highly unequal system.

A ninja village undoubtedly required a large number of ninjas to serve it. The Hyuga clan, the strongest in Konoha, provided enough ninjas to meet the demand.

Many outsiders came to Konoha specifically because of the prestigious Hyuga clan. Konoha welcomed this, as the Hyuga ninjas, though nominally under Konoha's command, were effectively controlled by the Hyuga clan's head.

Ninja missions meant injuries and death, and Konoha saw the Hyuga clan's attrition as a convenient way to reduce the power of the hard-to-control clan.

However, this led to two factions within the Hyuga clan: the pro-war faction and the pro-peace faction. Inevitably, the war faction eventually prevailed, coming up with a plan—the Caged Bird Curse Mark.

This mark controlled the pro-peace faction within the clan, forcing them to accept difficult missions through the threat of the curse, balancing family interests with maintaining a level of attrition that kept the Hokage temporarily reassured.

The truth of history was buried in the sands of time, yet over time, the pro-war and pro-peace factions evolved into the Main House and Branch House.

Perhaps they had forgotten their ancestors' original intentions, but that didn't stop them from continuing this tradition.

After all, this system greatly benefited the Main Family of the Hyuga clan. With the Caged Bird Curse Mark, the few members of the Main Family could firmly control the numerous Branch Family ninjas. The justification was a simple yet absurd reason: to prevent the Byakugan from falling into enemy hands.

Because of this simple reason, the Main Family enjoyed the resources obtained through the hard work of the Branch Family ninjas. Because of this simple reason, the Main Family could manipulate the lives of the Branch Family ninjas without restraint.

Because of this simple reason, no matter how talented, Branch Family ninjas were marked at birth with a brand that would forever shackle them. Even if they excelled, they were only benefitting the Main Family.

At this moment, Shohei knelt on the ground, frustrated by his powerlessness, longing for a life of freedom like Saki's, who had broken free from the shackles like a bird soaring in the sky.

Lost in the agony and fantasy, he heard footsteps beside him and looked up in surprise. He thought it was Saki returning, but seeing the tall figure with a smile, he was stunned, his lips trembling.

"Sō- Aizen-sama."

Hearing his words, Aizen's eyes flickered, and he smiled lightly.

"Sama? Shouldn't you call me the Konoha traitor, Sōsuke?"

Shohei tried to speak but didn't know what to say. After a moment of trembling, he collapsed entirely, accepting his fate with a dark look in his eyes.

Seeing him like this, Aizen didn't question him further but said, "Call me Aizen. The name Sōsuke Aizen is in the past."

Hearing Aizen's words, for some reason, a spark of light returned to Shohei's dull eyes. He trembled as he spoke.

"A-Aizen-sama, you... you're not going to kill me?"
