The large rocks, eroded by years of wind and sand, stood as pillars on the desolate land.
Looking out, the entire landscape was covered in the desolate atmosphere of a barren desert.
On one of the massive red rock pillars, several figures stood waiting.
The leader, with hair tied up and a white beard, did not give off a benevolent feeling. His sharp eyes were like those of a hawk.
Though short in stature, he wore armor, clearly ready for battle at any moment.
This man was the Third Tsuchikage Onoki. Beside him, a group of Tsuchikage guards, including the stout Akatsuchi, stood, all watching a distant direction with serious expressions.
"Tsuchikage-sama, this meeting with Aizen is too risky, especially with so few guards. The advisors will definitely criticize you if they find out about this."
Akatsuchi, who was robust, looked at the serious Onoki with resignation, mumbling quietly.
Onoki frowned, glancing at Akatsuchi with annoyance.
"As the Tsuchikage, I have my considerations. Do you think the advisors' advice matters?"
"If we don't take risks and hide in Iwagakure every day, what can I, as the Tsuchikage, bring to Iwa-nin?"
Despite Onoki's reprimand, Akatsuchi stubbornly insisted.
"But you must consider who we're dealing with. You know Aizen's strength, and the disappearance of the Third Kazekage might be linked to him. After all, he openly declared he wants to end the era of ninjas."
Onoki's eyes flashed with a sharp glint. He suppressed his urge to reprimand further and said solemnly:
"Such matters aren't for you to worry about."
He turned, hands behind his back, his expression hidden as he said hoarsely:
"Akatsuchi, focus on improving your own strength."
"Remember, whether the Third Kazekage's disappearance was due to Aizen or not, it was ultimately because the Kazekage wasn't strong enough!"
"The disappearance of the Third Kazekage gives Iwa-nin and Suna-nin an opportunity. That's what we need to focus on! Who caused his disappearance no longer matters."
His silhouette seemed to sag slightly, his voice complex as he continued:
"No one knows the outcome of the Third Ninja War, but only within risk can we find surprising hope!"
"I am willing to bet my life. If I win, Iwa-nin will break the current stalemate. If I lose… I might die."
He turned sharply to Akatsuchi, eyes grave, and said:
"You, Akatsuchi, as my son, must bear my mission and responsibility. Even in the chaos of war, you must rejuvenate Iwa-nin!"
"Do you understand?"
Akatsuchi, slightly stunned by his father's words, clenched his fists and replied solemnly:
"I understand, Father!"
Onoki's sharp eyes softened briefly, a fleeting hint of satisfaction.
"It's good that you understand…"
He murmured softly to himself:
"If that day comes, don't blame me as your father. After all, you are my eldest son. This is your responsibility."
At that moment, one of the vigilant Iwa-nin guards exclaimed:
"Tsuchikage-sama, someone is coming!"
Everyone tensed, Onoki and Akatsuchi's eyes narrowing as they looked in that direction.
From the dust-covered desert, four figures gradually emerged.
The man in the black and white uniform, smiling slightly, made Onoki's eyes darken as he muttered:
"Aizen… Sosuke…"
Almost simultaneously, Aizen looked up, meeting Onoki's gaze from afar with a smile.
"Let's go. Our cleaners have arrived."
Behind him, Ulquiorra and the others raised their heads towards the Tsuchikage's group.
Soon, Aizen and his group stood atop the massive red rock pillar, facing Onoki and his guards.
Onoki's sharp eyes swept over Aizen and his companions before he said solemnly:
"Long time no see, Aizen Sosuke."
Aizen smiled slightly and replied:
"Long time no see, Onoki."
Onoki's eyes lowered as he continued seriously:
"Let's skip the pleasantries and discuss how Hueco Mundo can assist Iwa-nin against Konoha."
Aizen chuckled softly:
"As you wish. But you should know the capabilities of Hueco Mundo."
"I think it's more appropriate to discuss the payment first."
Onoki's eyes darkened as he asked seriously:
"What do you want?"
Aizen's smile remained as he said lightly:
"Iwagakure has a tailed beast, doesn't it? For Hueco Mundo's assistance in the war, a tailed beast as payment is a fair trade."
The Iwa-nin guards tensed, Onoki's brows furrowing tightly.
"You desire a tailed beast!?"
Aizen did not respond, merely smiling as he waited for Onoki's answer.
The Iwa-nin guards, under the watchful eyes of Ulquiorra and the others, did not dare move.
After a moment of thought, Onoki's eyes hardened as he said:
"Iwagakure will give you the Five-Tails, but only after Hueco Mundo participates in the war."
Aizen nodded lightly with a smile:
"Of course."
The two continued discussing the war's start time and Hueco Mundo's involvement.
Time passed quickly, the sunset casting a red glow over the land.
At the end of the meeting, Onoki said:
"Let's end it here. I hope our cooperation goes smoothly!"
Aizen smiled and replied:
"Of course. I also wish Iwa-nin success against Konoha."
He turned to leave, followed by Ulquiorra and the others.
In the distance, Onoki's brows furrowed as he asked:
"Aizen, is the Third Kazekage's disappearance related to you?"
Aizen stopped, turning slightly with a smile:
"That has nothing to do with your plan, does it? In fact, the Kazekage's disappearance accelerated your plan."
"Shouldn't you be more concerned about Konoha's remaining forces?"
"After all, the Onoki I know uses any means necessary to achieve his goals."
With that, he walked away, followed closely by Ulquiorra and the others.
Under the red sunset, their figures seemed bathed in blood, walking towards the edge of hell.
Onoki watched them, sighing deeply.
"Father!"
Onoki waved his hand, eyes regaining sharpness as he said:
"Let's go, Akatsuchi. The plan against Konoha is our priority!"
Akatsuchi nodded heavily.
As long as the Third Kazekage's disappearance advances the war, that's enough.
