In the Land of Water, within the Mist Village.

Inside the towering buildings shrouded in thick fog, in the pitch-black corner of an office, Uchiha Shino slowly retracted his alarmed gaze. For some reason, he had just felt his heart pounding intensely. This inexplicable sensation made him vigilant, and he warily stared in the direction from which the feeling had come.

The feeling lasted only for a moment before disappearing, leaving Shino wondering if it had been a hallucination caused by his own tension. His face was slightly cold as he carefully pondered the situation but couldn't explain why it had occurred.

"What on earth... What could it be? Was it just my imagination?" Shino murmured to himself in the darkness.

"Creek!"

At that moment, the door to the room was gently pushed open, and Shino's eyes turned cold as he looked towards the intruder. A boy with purple eyes stealthily slipped into the room. He wore a light green robe and had brown hair. For some reason, he was acting very secretive, cautiously surveying the room once inside.

Occasionally, a glint of vigilance flashed in his eyes. He moved silently in the dark room, as if afraid of disturbing whoever might be present, tiptoeing and making no sound.

Then suddenly.

"Cough, cough…"

A raspy cough echoed in the dark room, startling the boy with purple eyes, who quickly turned his head, his face pale as he looked towards the source of the sound.

"Sizzle."

A flame suddenly ignited in the room, instantly illuminating it with bright candlelight. In the flickering light, everything in the room became visible. At the desk sat a middle-aged man, who had just lit the candle, smiling kindly at the bewildered boy standing at the desk.

"It's you, Yagura. Why have you come here so late? Is there something you need?" the man asked, his smile kind but with an inexplicable undercurrent that made people uneasy, as if it were a post-mortem makeup. The rigid smile, even in the bright candlelight, gave a creepy feeling.

The boy in front of him could deeply feel the man's oddness. Cold sweat broke out on his forehead, and he took a step back. He didn't dare look directly at the man, pulling a stiff smile on his pale face and trembling as he spoke.

"No, nothing, Lord Third Mizukage. I just came to ask about the handling of the Three-Tails. Ever since you subdued it, its activities have been very intense. Shouldn't we seal it into a jinchūriki, like other villages, to use it as a strategic weapon for our village?"

After hearing Yagura's words, the Third Mizukage's smile deepened. He glanced at Yagura, who kept his head down, body tense, and didn't dare to make any rash moves.

Instead of answering directly, the Third Mizukage kindly asked, "Yagura, what do you think of Fuguki Suikazan's abilities?"

Surprised by the sudden question, Yagura thought carefully before answering in his young voice, "Compared to other ninjas in the Mist Village, Suikazan's abilities are well-recognized. However, his personality is a bit too brutal..."

The Third Mizukage didn't comment on this but continued asking, "Then, which ninja in the Mist Village do you admire?"

Yagura, showing a maturity beyond his years, furrowed his brows, trying to understand the purpose behind the question. After thinking for a while without finding a reason, he answered honestly, "Biwa Jūzō. He skillfully wields the Executioner's Blade and stands out among the younger generation in the Mist Village. I believe he embodies the will of the Mist."

The Third Mizukage showed a strange smile after hearing this and said softly, "Actually, Yagura, you are not inferior to them. In my eyes, your abilities surpass theirs."

Yagura was taken aback, his young face growing wary. The Third Mizukage, seemingly oblivious to Yagura's caution, continued smiling and said, "Sealing the Three-Tails into a jinchūriki? That's a great suggestion, Yagura."

Yagura's face darkened slightly, and he fell silent.

The Third Mizukage's eyes gleamed as he finally said, "I will consider it carefully. You may go now. Thank you for coming so late to help with this matter. Be careful on your way back, Yagura. The Mist Village might not be as safe as it used to be if we enter the continental war…"

With these words, Yagura, maintaining a tense expression, nodded slightly and bowed. "Then I'll take my leave, Lord Third Mizukage."

The Third Mizukage's face remained kindly smiling as he watched Yagura slowly open the door and leave the room, closing the door gently behind him.

"Sizzle."

The candle flame extinguished as the door closed, and after a long while, a cold murmur echoed in the room.

"Jinchūriki, huh? That's a good idea. Yagura, Biwa Jūzō, Fuguki Suikazan... To deal with this village, I'll take you down one by one."

In the dense fog of the Mist Village.

"Whoosh!"

Yagura's figure appeared on a tall tree trunk, cautiously glancing behind him. Once he confirmed no one was following him, he sighed in relief and murmured to himself, "Was it my imagination? Why is the Third Mizukage's behavior becoming more and more unfamiliar…"

Recalling the questions from earlier, he frowned slightly. "Jinchūriki... It seems I said something I shouldn't have."

Just then, Yagura, standing on the tree trunk, sensed something unusual below and glanced down. He saw a blue-skinned boy, shirtless, training hard under the pale moonlight in a secluded part of the foggy forest.
