Underneath Konoha.
In a dimly lit room.
Danzo sat in the main seat with his eyes half-closed.
As he listened to the reports from his subordinates, he knew that the Chunin exams had already started above ground.
When he heard about the conflict between the Grass Village ninja and Sosuke, his eyes opened slightly, revealing a chilling glint.
Hiruzen... Sosuke has been doing quite well this past year... The plan is about to begin...
In the dimly lit room, the candlelight flickered as if even the candles themselves were filled with trepidation.
During this short year, Sosuke had met with Danzo many times.
Danzo finally fulfilled his role as Sosuke's teacher, actively teaching him some of Konoha's forbidden techniques and the essentials of ninja combat.
Danzo didn't blame Sosuke for the mission in the Fire Country's capital.
After all, all the evidence pointed to the Iwa ninjas being the ones who killed Uchiha Haku. Even Sosuke and Hyuga Saki almost lost their lives at the hands of the Iwa ninjas.
This made Danzo deeply hold a grudge against Iwagakure.
For someone like Danzo, this kind of hatred could be suppressed for several years, but once an appropriate opportunity arose, he would deliver the most lethal blow.
...
Above Konoha.
Inside the Ninja Academy, in an examination room.
Dozens of students were crowded in a classroom, completely focused as they looked at the exam papers in front of them.
The chief examiners had very serious expressions as they stood on the side of the podium, carefully observing the examinees below.
Just a moment ago, they had announced the rules of the exam.
The content was simple.
"Start the exam now. No questions allowed. Work diligently on your papers. If caught cheating, you will be disqualified!"
After the serious examiners finished speaking, they distributed the papers to the students.
The middle-aged man with a gloomy and cold expression stood on the high podium, motionless, watching the examinees below.
His gaze was sharp and cruel, and the examinees below didn't dare to meet his eyes.
In his eyes, all the examinees seemed like criminals about to undergo interrogation.
And at that moment!
When the examinees saw the content of the exam papers, they couldn't help but show bitter expressions!
One of them even let out a sigh!
"Ah!"
As soon as he sighed, a shuriken mercilessly pierced his desk, firmly pinning his exam paper to the tabletop.
"Get out! Your exam is over," a stern examiner said to him.
The simple and direct words left the examinee dumbfounded!
After realizing what had happened, the student's expression became extremely agitated, and he shouted in an attempt to defend himself.
"What... What!? How can you do this? I still..."
Before he could finish his sentence, the examiner grabbed him by the neck and pinned him against the wall!
The examiner looked at him with cold indifference and said in a chilling voice,
"I said, get out. Your exam is over. Don't make a sound, and don't make me repeat myself."
Seeing the examiner's cold gaze and domineering actions up close, the student started to crumble. His body trembled, unable to resist.
Amidst the shocked expressions of everyone, he was dragged out like a drowning dog.
Throughout the ordeal, the middle-aged chief examiner standing at the center of the podium didn't utter a word. He simply watched coldly, as if it was an ordinary occurrence.
The examinees below also looked on in fear, remaining completely silent, afraid to make even the slightest sound. The exam room was eerily quiet.
Through this incident, the examinees realized that the Chunin exams seemed to have strict and terrifying rules.
As a result, everyone redirected their attention back to their exam papers, preparing to answer the questions to the best of their abilities.
However, when they looked at the questions on the papers, they found each one to be extremely difficult.
There were a total of ten questions, all of them incredibly challenging.
Either they were physiological questions about chakra flow and circulating chakra throughout the body, or they were about how to handle team assignments as a Chunin when faced with specific situations.
The standard answers were available in the textbooks, but who could remember them in their entirety?
Amidst the despair and frustration, some clever individuals noticed something peculiar.
"As long as we don't get caught... does it mean that our exam qualification won't be revoked? If that's the case... then there should be standard answers arranged..."
Uchiha Sakuya, with her beautiful big eyes, glanced around at the other examinees and suddenly noticed some unnatural behavior among a few of them.
Confirming her thoughts, she smiled and thought to herself, "Those guys are probably the 'standard' answers arranged by the examiners. Whether or not I can copy from them depends on myself, right?"
With that in mind, she let her pupils slightly reveal a blood-red color, and a small black jade appeared within her crimson eyes.
As she looked at a figure sitting nearby, she meticulously imitated his movements. Gradually, the exam paper became filled with densely packed answers.
On the other side, other clever individuals also discovered this peculiar situation and resorted to various ways of cheating.
The boy with sunglasses gently looked at the tiny insects that flew to his fingertips. He tilted his head slightly, as if listening intently, and then began writing numerous answers on his paper.
The pale-skinned Orochimaru focused on his paper. He seemed to be listening to the tapping sound of his pen. Then, he started writing the correct answers, utilizing his knowledge of sound-based ninjutsu that he had studied before.
Tsunade carefully pondered over each question, relying solely on her powerful analytical skills to unlock each difficult problem.
Jiraiya was in an awkward position. He scratched his head and rubbed his cheek like a monkey, unable to make much noise. He could only helplessly look at the blank paper in front of him, filled with worry.
Around the blood vessels of Saki's eyes, there was a slight tension. His gaze seemed to penetrate everything as he looked at the standard answers on the paper, calmly copying them down.
After completing a few questions, Hyuga Saki glanced at the nearby "standard" answers, lightly forming hand seals, and soon, the writing on the "standard" answers stopped. She seemed to have infiltrated the consciousness of the person opposite, quickly recording the answers, and then she swiftly withdrew and started writing.
Sosuke, wearing thick-rimmed glasses, lowered his head and looked at his paper, aware of everything happening around him. A faint smile appeared on his lips.
This is quite an interesting exam, isn't it?
He slowly stood up and casually walked over to two of the "standard answer" individuals. He gently took their papers, replacing them with his and Dai's blank papers.
As he turned back to his seat, he noticed Jiraiya, who was sitting there sweating profusely, looking as if he was constipated. Sosuke couldn't help but laugh.
Jiraiya, without me, you would have been in big trouble. Well, let me lend you a hand.
He went to another "standard answer" individual, effortlessly taking their paper and swapping it with Jiraiya's.
Then, Sosuke returned to his own seat.
