Mrs. Walter listened to Zora Hughes' explanation and a smile appeared on her face. "Julian is so thoughtful! He knew to protect Murray in this way."
Cory Hughes understood what Zora meant, and continued, "Aunt Walter, although Julian hasn't grown up in the Hughes family, we know him very well, and he would never cheat … and would be even more strict with the people he is close to. This shows that he already considers Murray as his wife."
"He rushed over from the company, fearing that Murray would be bullied. Seeing that Murray was not at a disadvantage, he scolded her a few times, intending to leave Mr. Caleb Mamet with no grounds to attack."
Murray Walter blushed and said coyly, "So, it means that Julian likes me, and he must be willing to marry me. He just doesn't say it outright."
"That's right." Cory Hughes chuckled.
After Mrs. Walter and Murray left contentedly, Cory Hughes suddenly changed his expression and slammed the table fiercely, "Dammit!"
