Xaviera Evans stared blankly for a moment, her voice trembling slightly, "I'm not going, what are you doing going there? Don't you always dislike those kinds of occasions?"
There were a few seconds of silence in the air, and Caleb Mamet chuckled lightly, "How can I buy you a necklace if I don't go? Don't worry, I will be back soon."
She didn't want a necklace, she was just afraid that he would recognize her. With her disguise though, he shouldn't be able to see through it, so she just needed to avoid him as much as possible.
With that thought, Xaviera could finally let her guard down.
Caleb glanced at his watch, realizing the time was near, he rose and left, then ordered, "Steve Price, go buy some medicine for Mrs. Mamet and take good care of her at home."
