Caleb Mamet gave a faint smile, "Yes, I should let her know the truth."
Elijah Flack knew that Caleb wasn't intentionally hiding it from Xaviera. He just wanted her to guess on her own, but she was too slow and never figured it out.
But...
Elijah reminded, "When Xaviera finds out you've deceived her for so long, aren't you afraid she'll get angry? Mr. Caleb Mamet, we know her very well. She hates deception the most."
Caleb smiled slightly and confidently, "She won't be mad."
About this, Caleb had absolute confidence because Mrs. Mamet had also hidden something from him and had already paid for it. She was still lying in bed and couldn't get up!
Elijah chuckled, "You're quite confident!"
The three of them enjoyed their meal together, and Elijah couldn't help but ask, "What about Xaviera? Why hasn't she come down for breakfast?"
Caleb's hands paused, and then he gave a meaningful smile, "She didn't sleep well last night and is still resting."
