Could the two brothers be thinking that Caleb is impotent?
Xaviera's face changed as she struggled to climb out of the bathtub. Hearing the water, Caleb hurried over, the heat of his palm on her smooth white back as he asked quietly, "What's wrong?"
Xaviera's lips trembled nervously, "Caleb, I think I understand what they misunderstood."
Caleb knew that Quine Heninger and Elijah Flack must have drugged him, fearing that he couldn't perform, and Xaviera was too embarrassed to say anything, so they decided to secretly intervene.
Although well-intentioned, they were overthinking it.
Thin-lips slightly parted, his voice full of ambiguity, "What does Mrs. Mamet understand now?"
Xaviera hung her head, wishing she could plunge her head into the bathwater or get drunk and pass out immediately.
