Xaviera Evans's eyes light up immediately, her cheeks flushed with surprise and joy as she looked at Caleb Mamet, "Caleb! Are you really taking me to see Cold Night?"
Seeing the hope in her eyes, Caleb smiled indulgently, "Yes."
Despite the numerous hints given to Mrs. Mamet, she was still clueless. It would probably take her till the end of time to figure out who Cold Night was.

When people finished eating, Xaviera and Caleb excused themselves for a while. Seizing the moment when the two stepped out, Elijah Flack glanced around and whispered to Quine Heninger, "I have something to tell you."
