Steve Price was shaking like a sieve. He had genuinely invested too much for his boss's happiness. His words were full of honesty, much like an eunuch loyal to an ancient emperor. After speaking his mind, he closed his eyes, prepared to face any consequences.
Unexpectedly, Caleb Mamet chuckled.
A shiver ran down Steve Price's spine. His boss's laughter usually meant serious consequences. But Caleb gave a firm nod.
"You're right," he said.
"I have to make an effort. How can I let another man in my wife's room?"
Steve Price was taken aback.
Before he could respond, Caleb stood up and left. Steve gazed at Caleb's back in bewilderment, relieved that their boss had finally seen sense.

Xaviera Evans slowly opened her eyes. The room was dreary, with minimal light seeping through the blackout curtains, but she noticed the imposing figure of a man by her bedside.
"Caleb?" she murmured.
