Xaviera Evans suddenly looked up and asked, "Caleb, what gift are you going to give me?"
"You guess." Caleb Mamet's tone was a bit teasing.
Xaviera propped her chin in thought for a few seconds, "There is nothing special about the things at this auction, except for the finale violin which is a bit different. But I don't understand why this violin is the finale as it is not that precious."
Caleb smiled at her but did not answer.
Xaviera continued, "Actually, this violin was made by Xavier. It used to be kept at Grandpa's place, and I would play it when I had nothing else to do."
"I heard in the restroom today that Penny Kalafatis wants this violin, and Willie Novak will probably buy it for her. After all, Willie is the head of the Brooke family, so it wouldn't be appropriate for him to give his future wife a 200,000-dollar violin. So they specifically arranged for the violin to be the finale to show off his noble status and position, right?"
