Colneth felt an itch in his chest, a bit of swelling... as if something was touching him there.
When he opened his eyes, it was already broad daylight. At first, he struggled to grasp his surroundings, until he hazily made out a figure sitting by the bedside and... a small head nuzzling and suckling at his nipple. It was only with a sudden jolt that Colneth remembered everything.
His body senses gradually returned, and he felt that his belly had lightened considerably. But the area below, a place too awkward to mention, still throbbed in waves of pain, as if torn. Though Colneth was still somewhat incredulous, had he... given birth to a child?!
"Awake?" Colneth didn't notice that when he woke up, Dalgliesh let out a relieved sigh.
Before Colneth could speak, Dalgliesh held up the little bundle in his hands before him.
"I... gave birth?"
"Could it have been me who gave birth?" Dalgliesh chuckled, finding Colneth reaction quite cute.
