Numerous enormous rocks rained down towards Lin Yi with immense force, creating a thunderous commotion.
Soldiers from the rest of the Survey Corps also noticed the situation, quickly realizing the presence of an enemy.
Fortunately, it appeared that their target was Mr. Lin Yi.
Otherwise, the Survey Corps would once again suffer heavy casualties due to the sheer number of falling rocks.
Even combatants like Levi and others on the battlefield observed this scene. When Lin Yi and Hanji appeared riding on a Titan, Levi witnessed it too.
Levi remained focused on the battle with the Jaw Titan because he trusted his comrades, particularly Hanji.
He knew that Hanji would explain everything after the battle concluded. So, despite his doubts, Levi remained committed to his fight with the Jaw Titan.
Meanwhile, Lin Yi held Jörmungandr and swung the blood-red long knife through the air. The blade, like a whip, extended and morphed easily, effortlessly shattering chunks of rock with swift motions.
"What is this thing?"
Zeke, who had transformed into a Beast Titan, suddenly stared in astonishment, fixated on the weapon in Lin Yi's hand.
What kind of weapon was it, capable of slicing and breaking through stone so effortlessly?
Even the technologically advanced Marley hadn't mastered such a weapon. How could a place like Paradis Island possess such a powerful asset?
"It must be a treasure left behind by the Eldian royal family."
Ultimately, Zeke attributed this power to the Eldian royal family. After all, it was a country that had ruled the continent for two thousand years and held some exceptional cards. This idea seemed plausible.
"If I can acquire it, no one in this world would dare defy me again. I am Marley's future!"
The Beast Titan's expression brimmed with excitement as it swiftly picked up a massive rock. Its body contorted, and with a slight exertion of force, it transformed into a makeshift slingshot, forcefully launching the boulder.
The rock, propelled with all its might, spun through the air at an astonishing speed, generating even shockwaves.
Lin Yi remained unfazed, unaffected by the Beast Titan. He had no intention of holding back.
Emitting a burst of hot waves from his mouth, Lin Yi rapidly closed in on the opponent. Simultaneously, Jörmungandr, in his hand, began to change from the hilt. Fiery patterns resembling liquid spread from his arm, covering his entire body.
In just a few breaths, these fiery patterns cooled, forming a black and red suit of armor.
With the integration of the Attack Titan and Armored Titan powers, Arata's new form further amplified Lin Yi's strength, at least several times over.
"Boom!"
"Direct hit!"
A deafening roar drowned out Lin Yi's voice as a massive rock struck. The Beast Titan triumphantly raised its hands, as though celebrating its victory.
Given its power, the hurled boulder could easily level buildings, and if it struck a human body, survival would be impossible.
Regardless of whether it was the Founding Titan's strength or the enigmatic weapon, they both belonged to him.
However, in the next instant, the Beast Titan froze in its tracks. Its colossal head slightly tilted, as if it had detected some movement.
On the surface of the Titan rock, tiny cracks began to appear, spreading rapidly.
"Crack, crack..."
Fear instantly surfaced on the humanoid face of the Beast Titan. With almost no hesitation, it turned around, preparing to flee.
Its intelligence analysis had been mistaken. This man hadn't defeated the Armored Titan by harnessing the Founding Titan's power.
While Zeke was arrogant and often looked down on individuals like Reiner, he had to admit that the Armored Titan's power far exceeded that of his own Beast Titan in a head-on battle.
If he couldn't overcome his opponent with his signature throwing skill, his chances of winning were almost nonexistent.
As for the Titan locked in a fierce struggle with the Survey Corps, Zeke no longer concerned himself. He believed that upon his return to Marley, if he reported the information about the Founding Titan, the organization would forgive his blunder.
The rocks weren't pulverized; they were melting.
Between each crack, liquid resembling magma seeped through, filling the gaps. Eventually, the rocks shattered when they reached their limit, causing a thunderous explosion.
Lin Yi's armor featured scale-like plates reminiscent of wings, flame-like patterns resembling magma, and several fierce black-brown bone spikes.
But it was too late for Zeke to escape now.
In this state, Lin Yi's speed was astonishing, possibly even surpassing that of a speeding car.
The Beast Titan fled frantically, but the sound of pursuit, akin to the approach of death, grew nearer.
"Don't get too carried away."
Zeke's heart turned fierce. He was about to be overtaken. Recognizing that escape was futile, he stopped, and his eyes turned blood-red.
He was a Marleyan, a proud Titan warrior. He couldn't perish so insignificantly.
Regardless of how powerful Lin Yi was, Titans always had an inherent advantage. As long as he wasn't struck on the nape of his neck, victory wasn't assured.
Thinking this, Zeke controlled the Beast Titan. Like a gorilla, he swung his long arm. He could launch an attack from several meters away, displaying remarkable agility.
However, to Zeke's astonishment, Lin Yi didn't even attempt to dodge.
He allowed the opponent's palm to descend.
"Boom!"
Lin Yi raised his hand to block. Two palms, one large and one small, vastly disparate in size, resembled stars and moons. Yet, what was astonishing was that when the two palms met, regardless of how much force the Beast Titan exerted, it couldn't advance an inch.
"How is this possible?"
Zeke was horrified. The sensation of fear overwhelmed him, proving impossible to suppress.
Devoid of the will to fight, the outcome of this battle became all but certain.
In an instant, Lin Yi's figure vanished from its original spot. The Beast Titan, which had been exerting its full strength, suddenly lost its foundation, stumbling forward.
But in the next instant, Lin Yi's form reappeared mid-air. With a light leap, he ascended nearly ten meters.
His left hand morphed into a claw, smashing into the Beast Titan's face.
"Boom!"
Such a battle scene was difficult for even the author to convey. It was akin to a minuscule ant toppling a massive elephant.
The Beast Titan's tilting body was sent flying anew by a single palm. It toppled over, reducing massive rocks and trees to debris along its path.
Lin Yi descended from the sky, landing on the Beast Titan's face. Zeke finally got a clear view of the face of this "monstrous" youth.
He was young and handsome, bearing a dignified appearance.
Yet, within moments, Zeke averted his gaze. A casual glance from Lin Yi prompted beads of cold sweat to form on his body. This guy truly understood everything.
He was aware of all the secrets about the Titans.
"I cannot die."
Zeke bellowed within his heart. He was Marley's future, the world's hope. He couldn't meet such an inconspicuous end.
