Chapter 5 - Haneefah

I wake up nice and early. I sit up in my bed for a while as I fully awaken. Once I had fully become alert, I head to the window and undo the blinds. The summer sun is gorgeous. She shimmers in her golden crown ,high above us all, eliminating the entire horizon and beyond. The sky is smooth and serene in its azure course. The dew drenched leaves all still and calm. I open the planes to be greeted with a sweet rosy breeze and the gentle chirping of the morning birds. The air smells pleasant.

'Spring is finally upon us!' I thought.

I smile at serenity and am reimbursed with hope. The hope to live. The hope that today will be a wondrous day. I hope that today will go well.

After basking in the pleasant morning breeze, I look at my wardrobe for a clean change of clothes. I select the ones I like and head down with a towel. I peer if there's anyone in the passage. No one. I slip out and head out the back door to the bath-house up back. The bath house was attached to the main estate but a separate building. The lavatories were a separate isolated building to a distance so that the stench doesn't make its way to the house. I get in and take a nice warm bath...

It was really nice and refreshing. I head out leaving the door a tad bit open to let the hot air out. The day was still young and early, meaning I still had time for errands.

I quickly get changed and plop out. As I leave the estate premises, I feel a sense of alleviation. At least now I wasn't confined to the walls of the house and could get to be free.

'Look, it's a robin gliding through the fresh air!'

I ponder what life must be like for the robin bird. As I ponder deeply, I can't help but feel envy towards it for having numerous liberties, away from any expectation or boundaries set only by the elevated sky. Such freedom man can not hope to possess, I suppose. We are all bound by these man-made laws which bind us from our true selves. They are indeed far from perfect but then again the robin bird has little mind to hone its perception of the world as we do so we would probably be worse in its place.

It really begs the question, 'why were we made?'

'Or is there no purpose but to live and die?'

'Where are they made or mere coincidence?'

'If they are made, then who established them?'

The intricate details of life truly baffle me...

Before I know it, I am there. Truly a sweet and nice trip.
