During the training session with Laura, things were getting worse for me. Last time, I at least had a chance to strike back, but this time, I couldn't even get a moment to fight back. Every time I got back on my feet, I was quickly brought down to my knees or belly by Laura's moves.
To make matters more embarrassing, Ethan was there, watching with a smile on his face. It felt like he was finding my constant falling amusing.
"Focus on the speed of the Alpha's powers!" Laura shouted after yet another fall.
I decided to take a moment to catch my breath. Laura and I had been training for more than three hours, and I was exhausted. I had no idea how she was still going strong.
Ethan's laughter made me a bit annoyed, so I asked him what was so funny. He just touched his nose and said it was nothing, but I could tell he was still laughing at me.
