"What in Albi—" One of the thugs started to protest, but his voice was taken from him. He moved his mouth, but no sound came from it.
"You killed someone." Kier strode up to the thug, pointing his finger at him. "You don't get to talk. You don't even get to tell me your name because I do not care. This little girl," Kier pointed at Irel, "is the sole survivor of your bout of stupidity. Frankly, I would have done to you the very same thing you did to those women. But her eyes," Kier pointed at Ina, "made me stupid and she asked me to come up with something else. So here I am, merely marking you."
Both thugs seemed to scream in pain as a Rune, the same for each one, appeared on their arms. It was seared to their flesh by nothing but Kier's will. But no sound came from their gaping mouths
"Now listen. Listen well because if you're lucky, you will only see me this one damned time in your lives. You only get this very moment to take what I say and never lose it."
