Ina had never seen an eldest Gnarl before, but she remembered what Druids used to call them. "Great Vierais, if I may intercede."
The eldest of Gnarls closed his eyes and let out a rumbling moan. "Aaah. You bring memories of the Druids to my mind, human with hair of fury. Is it possible they still grace the land?"
"I don't know, Vierais. I have just chosen to adopt their customs as my own."
"That sole fact makes me want to hear you speak."
"This woman has never lived in a forest. She did not know the consequences of her actions and thus acted ignorantly. It would be wise, kind, and graceful to allow her to learn."
"I have two objections to your plea, Druid. First, the young Geheim that came to live in the stone of a hill asked first, so as to not disturb the forest's residents. And it is my understanding he had never lived in a forest before either. Second, this Mage of long black hair does not seem to acknowledge or accept her mistake."
